You can't change the spawn delay for Hardcore, it's going to stay at 10 seconds.

After playing a lot tonight/today on both hardcore and normal servers, I definitely want to modify my earlier post.

 

Hardcore.

KC: off, Spec: on, default respawn time is fine.

S&D - TDM - HQ rotation.

Maps not wanted: Bloc, Shipment, Showdown, and Water Works. I'd say Downpour too, but too many people like it.

Well, I'm new here but I'd like to make a couple of suggestions for the non-hardcore server. I haven't tried hardcore yet though with my lack of playing skills it sounds like it'd be a frustrating mode for me to play.

 

Killcam Off. I found the thing I most hate about COD4 is the killcam. I already know how terrible I am, I don't need a killcam to prove the point :klinked:

Could Domination please be considered on the non-hardcore server? I'd like to see rotation between Dom, HQ, TDM, and maybe S&D.

Of the maps I've played on, the only two so far I wouldn't want are Shipment and Ambush, though I don't think I've played all the maps yet.

all the maps are good i like all, but team death match has got to go, or should i call it "team wonder around bullshit match" :thumbsdown:

Of all the map modes I say HQ is my least favorite.

 

The killcam is not that great, although I don't necessarily have a problem with it. If anything it would be nice to be able to select if you want to see your last death or not, but I doubt it works that way, either on or off I'm sure.

 

I think the spawn time should be a little higher. While waiting for a spawn it makes much more sense to spectate your teammates rather than watching yourself die.

I like everything that is rotated, except for ALL non-respawn games. For some reason, I hate waiting 'till the next round to play. There is just too much killing going on in this game, and I want right back into the action.

I think a little less headquarters and a little more domination, partly becuase I tend to enjoy HQ less and Dom a lot and also I think that domination causes less camping since you have more than one target to obtain(I found that in HQ you will get people that don't even try to cap the HQ but just find a spot and aim their gun at the HQ). And I like the Killcam, because it seems a good way to detere camping(I am guilting of camping sometime without even thinking about it, but If I know that the guy I just killed knows where I am at know I may very well move).

Thanks I must confess though I'm originally from Oklahoma, but I've lived in Kansas for over 5 years (It'll be 6 come January).

 

One thing I've found is that the more I play COD4, the more I despise the killcam. It's to the point I'm only playing on servers where the killcam is off. I wonder why the devs put it in there in the first place (or has it been there since the first COD? COD4 is the only game from the series I've actually played). For some reason, the game is more frustrating with the killcam on than with it off; probably because I somehow think the game itself is rubbing in the fact I suck. That being said, on the Armory servers (and only on the Armory servers) I can live with the killcam if enough folks like it.

 

The only modes I've played in COD4 are Team Deathmatch and Domination, and I don't know much about the other modes, though I imagine I probably won't like the no-respawn modes at all (I do like to get right back into the mix), and free-for-all sounds like it'd frustrate me to no end. HQ does sound interesting though.

 

Overgrown, Backlot, Bloc, District, and Crash are currently my favorite maps, and I don't care for Shipment (it's okay if there are less than 10 people playing; any more than that it's too small) and Ambush.

 

Anyway, just a couple of pennies' worth (if even that much )
