So last night I had a few instances where I shot several times at someone and got the hit indicators, in a couple cases I dumped 6 shots+ into them, however they kill me. The strange thing is in kill cam it shows me either firing once (in the cases I was unloading rounds) or not firing at all.

 

So the question is, does killcam show an accurate representation of what happened or is it off? I'm wondering if it's killcam or my connection, but my connection was good and ping was averaging 60s

Well I seem to have found my own answer to this on the IW forums. Seems like I'm not the only one having these issues so hopefully a patch will soon fix this.

Seems that there might be a few issues causing this, one being hitboxes off even though they are showing a hit on your screen. Also a lot saying 'CHEATERS' and even though there are some videos of cheats ALREADY, I don't think this was the case...at least I hope not.

I know sometimes I get shot and when you watch the "replay", it looks like the guy is cleary out in the open but from your view you he is completely behind cover.

I've had this problem before...but on our temporary server, I have a ping of 170 on the average. It's often that I open fire first, but I wind up dying. When I watch the killcam it shows that I didn't even fire a round...sometimes it shows that I didn't even face the person. Again...this is with a fairly high ping. It does happen to me on other servers where I have around a 90 ping, but not as often. The problem could be a mix of hit box detection and lag.
