Should we add Death Match maps?

Featured Replies

I like team deathmatch as a break in pace. If we have 32 players set the ticket limit 2000. I played on a server with 32 people and that limit and it was pretty intense, with fewer players it might take a while longer to end the match so its a toss up, maybe 1500.

Most people play the game like its TD anyway, I notice on most domination maps most people ignore the points and just go for kills.

I'm more for sporadic TDM. Not too much of it, because the majority of the community seems to like objective-based combat (and I'm with them to an extent).

My only argument is that objectives in COD4 seem to funnel the action, whereas TDM spreads it around the map and keeps it "circular". What I mean by this is: You spawn where the enemy is not.

So say the bad guys are north and you're south. You're going to spawn south until the enemy pushes south. Then you spawn north. If the enemy goes southeast, you spawn northwest. It really just keeps things fresh, IMHO, whereas objectives just say, "the action must be here, here, and here."

tl;dr: I'm for it, but don't put too many on there.

Also, no FFA. That's just... way too chaotic for my tastes. ><

Team Deathmatch seems like a good thing to break up the objective based cycle. Sometimes ya just have to kick back with a sniper rifle and pick people off without having to worry about capping points.

Great point. One thing I can't stand about this game is the fact that no matter where you go enemies are always behind you. I get dizzy enough looking forward without spinning around constantly looking for people that have no business spawning where they do.

So, on that note, I guess TDM is a good thing if Biscuit is correct. I don't care for free for all especially with HARDCORE b.s. It's hard enough to avoid the enemy nevermind your teammate that spawns right behind you.

yes and heck yes to free for all,i love that game i'm not saying we need a whole server for it but to throw it in the rotation or a once in a while thing would be great.

throw in 1 or 2 odd ball freeforalls. might make for some crazy random fun.

but make it short. too many players on a freeforall becomes a spawn kill fest.

Throw in TDM. I always enjoy being able to just go in and kill, without worry of defending/attacking a certain area. But, with that, I dont like the chaos of free for alls, as you'd probably get killed every five seconds. =/

ya but you also get kills every sec  try it first then decide, many of us think free for all are a lot of fun.
Oh, I've tried it before. It just doesnt interest me, is all.
