Dad sells son's 90-dollar video game online for more than 9000 Sun Dec 16, 1:37 AM ET MONTREAL (AFP) - After catching his 15-year-old smoking pot, a father sold the hard-to-get "Guitar Hero III" video game he bought his son for 90 dollars for Christmas at an online auction, fetching 9,000 dollars. http://us.bc.yahoo.com/b?P=jJ0MVUWTVvqakdriR0mENxE9R8cBHUdmmZgADbkW&T=1a19170ir%2fX%3d1197906328%2fE%3d95959713%2fR%3dnews%2fK%3d5%2fV%3d2.1%2fW%3dH%2fY%3dYAHOO%2fF%3d3740137588%2fH%3dY2FjaGVoaW50PSJuZXdzIiBjb250ZW50PSJ2aWRlbztlQmF5O2hvbWU7bWFuO2lkZW50aXR5O2Jhbms7aXQ7cmVmdXJsX3d3d195YWhvb19jb20iIHJlZnVybD0icmVmdXJsX3d3d195YWhvb19jb20iIHRvcGljcz0icmVmdXJsX3d3d195YWhvb19jb20i%2fQ%3d-1%2fS%3d1%2fJ%3d93519345&U=13bo0uboc%2fN%3dIgB_INGDJG8-%2fC%3d606813.11794442.12350410.1442997%2fD%3dLREC%2fB%3d5075402 The sale took place after the father spent two weeks searching for the video game for the Nintendo Wii gameboard. "So I was so relieved in that I had finally got the Holy Grail of Christmas presents pretty much just in the nick of time. I couldn't wait to spread the jubilance to my son," the father wrote on the eBay website. "Then, yesterday, I came home from work early and what do I find? My innocent little boy smoking pot in the back yard with two of his delinquent friends." The man, a school teacher, who kept his identity private, said he sold the coveted video game to punish his son and discourage him from smoking dope. The sale was a boon for the family's bank account, since the game the father purchased for 90 dollars (US) was finally sold to an Australian who plunked down 9,100 dollars for it. The naughty son, however, will not go without a present on Christmas. "I am still considering getting him a game for his Nintendo. Maybe something like Barbie as the Island Princess or Dancing with the Stars ... I know he will just love them," the father said, tongue-in-cheek.

December 18, 200718 yr drinking is more harmful then pot is and u don't see them trying to stop that. cuz when was the last time u saw a stoner doing 90mph and all over the road.
December 18, 200718 yr Yeah pot really isn't that dangerous at all, but this isn't really the matter at hand right? His son still did do something illegal, dangerous or not, so he should get punished. At any rate, 9000 dollars? haha thats awesome.
December 18, 200718 yr I wish my son could smoke pot so I could make $9,000. He's only 18 mo. (sigh) ...maybe someday.
December 18, 200718 yr Just goes to show you if you put something on Ebay, there is always someone willing to pay a high price. That is a little extreme though.
