So I've heard alot of complaining about the difficulty of keeping the server populated. I notice that the armory servers never show in the Server Browser screen. I have the IPs saved on my favorites page and also on Xfire so it's not a problem for me but it would be hard for the casual broswer looking for a server to find ours.

If they ever get around to fixing this it'll definitely help. Until then there is really nothing we can do, our servers just don't show up. This is the reason we never get any public players to keep the server full; we've known about it the issue since the game came out.

does this "issue" affect other servers, too? or is there just something about this one? are there a small handful of "invisible" servers, or are we talking hundreds upon thousands of them?

The browser owns displays a handful of the real amount of servers out there. They listed the browser as being upgraded in the last patch but apparently it was all back end fixes. It seems the same to me, hopefully we can get a full upgrade like the Battlefield browser soon.

Now see that's the strange thing, because when I first started playing it would display the Armory servers. The browser, which was crap from the beginning, just took alot longer to display the entire list of servers. I think it was with patch 1.3 or maybe 1.2 that it disappeared, anyway it was definately displaying at the beginning.

I have the same questions as Klif. As of now it's displaying around 12,500+ servers so I wonder how many are not showing and why. Anyway it's just weird.

Click here to see if the server is available in the server browser. If the servers are listed in black texted, you can be assured they are "available" to the server browser. be sure to check your filters as well.

If your server isn't listed restart it

 

If your server is red you need to not set the protocol in your config files

 

If your server is blue you need to stop your server for at least 30 minutes and then restart

I found that when I stripped off most filters they started to pop up. There is still a problem though. Gator you may want to try and play around with the server name and the use of different lettering (caps/lower case, wildcards) to see if that may help.
