Sorry guys, wasn't sure what section to put this in. I recently reinstalled BFV for some nostalgia and I came head to head with an old foe: the missing sound bug. I cannot get the in vehicle music to play (my fav feature in a BF game ever) nor can I get the radio commands to work. No sound comes out. I remember I had this bug before but I cant remember how to fix it. Any ideas?

PS

Im using a USB headset, does that matter?

USB headset, no soundcard required. Ive tried running in compat mode and run as admin, no dice there.

Is it all game sound (menu music and actual guns blasting) or just the vehicle music? I doubt it's nothing simple like default keys jacked up, right?. I'll take a peek at my install to see if anything sticks out in my mind.

On another note, be sure to let us know when your BFV is cocked and locked so we can have a BFV night!!!!

Wow, BFV. To this day, whenever CCR's "Unfortunate Son" comes on the radio I feel the barely controllable urge to mow down VC from the open side door of a Huey slick. Good times. :)

The sound is just generally messed up. Everything either doesnt play or cuts out. The only sounds that have so far been guaranteed are my reloading and firing sounds.

As for the make and model... let me see, well its an altec lansing that cost like 25 bucks at Wal Mart (yes I know... I went cheap on purpose this time, there's a good reason). I cant find the make and model. Ill check out those drivers though Gator, thanks.
