I wanted an X box for some time. Now I have one. Is it just me or are the controls completely whacked?

It's like playing in molasses! I can't get from point A to point B without wanting to throw the freaking controller across the room! Is it that the X-box enthusiasts have never played PC shooters before?

Can I fix this? I really want a keyboard and mouse for my X-box 360. Any suggestions?

XBox controller = fail. I've always felt at home with the Playstation controller...

Anyway, stay away from console gaming. PC gaming is more affordable.

PC Gaming is more affordable that's why it costs $400 plus for a new GFX card every 1-2 years:p. On the other hand I'd rather have a small GFX card rather than a massive platform. Also what we can do with a single GFX card it takes several of a game platform to do. Now the games on the other hand are more affordable i can't see myself paying $60 for every new game that comes out. $50 dollars is good enough for me. The main thing about PC gaming is the controls are easier and you don't have to worry about a thousand cords behind your tv. :D

...It's 500 dollars for a new console every few years too, and the graphics for PC are always leaps and bounds beyond what consoles can handle. XBox360 is going to be stuck with its current performance for many years to come, but your PC, in just a year or so, will completely dominate it with just a few upgrades. Hell, PCs ALREADY have better performance than XBox360s...

Oh, and I'd just like to point out that PC games have graphics settings, and console games don't. My 4 year old rig (Nvidia 6800, 1GB RAM, etc.) runs, as a random example, Oblivion on medium/low... I'd like to see a PS2 run Oblivion on those settings without dry heaving.

Anyway, like Sneaky said, I'm pretty sure there's a keyboard, at the very least, for XBawks.

It depends on the game as to which platform is better, most shooters/RTS, PC hands down. Other games like Adventure games and racing are a little bit of a tie with a slight bias to consoles IMO. Games like Grand Theft Auto play better on consoles again IMO. There are games out there that do well on strictly consoles Assassins Creed, and Gears of War, and Resident Evil 4, to name a few. It all really boils do prefrence PC has the online play on lock down, being able to do most of the things you can do on XBox live for free. If online play was the reason we spent $1000 - $3500 on these killer gaming shreaders(only shreaders for 6 to 9 months mind you) and you play shooters then the PC does kick the consoles ass. However If your like me, a lot of you bought it not only for that one exclusive title, but for something different and more challenging.

Yeah... some games do feel better with a console controller... good thing you can use those on computers too :D

and if anyone ever tries to say consoles are better, heres a nice argument: Every time they upgrade and make a new console, it is more and more like a computer. Hmmm... why could that be!?

Playstation 3 has keyboard and mouse if im not mistaken. A bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Shoulda gone with that :D

And hella yeah, stick with PC gaming, it's really affordable and, if u wanna compare XBOX with PC gaming, here's one GREAT difference...

YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY TO BE ABLE TO PLAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS ONLINE!!! :(

CAN I GET A HIGH FIVE lol...

PREM.

I guess it depends on the games you like. I like computer for the FPS games like Counter Strike and Battlefield. I used to love Halo on Xbox and now Halo 3 on the 360, but I just always go back to PC because I am so much better there. I do play Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting on the 360 and totally love it. I play that about as much as I play Counter Strike. So right now, it is about 50/50 PC/Console. Of course, I only play with my home made controller I built.

I also play Grand Theft Auto IV on the 360 with the stock controller, and that eats up a good bit of time too.

i usually always play xbox or ps3 with sensitivity all the way up. PC gaming is just a different kind of gaming, PC players just dont realize it. you think that the PC is superior in everyway. you just don't get it. its the feel, the look, etc...

xbox is good in some ways but it will never meet up to computer and i just really want rock band and as u know they gotz it for the xbox but no computer
GTA 4 is coming out sometime for the comp :D

Have you ever tried playing GTA on PC though...? I found it to be kind of clunky. =/

I got the X-box really cheap just to play GTA. However, I don't have GTA yet and Gears came with the console. I've played gears on the commuter before and the differences are stunning. I find it very slow and hard to control with the Xbox controller. I just got frustrated yesterday.

GTA is the answer to my woes I think.

The only games i really play are first person shooters. The games i really like to play on X360 are Halo3, GTA IV, and Mass Effect.

COD4 is for PC though

I enjoy FPS on PC so much better. It feels too slow and robotic on consoles. There are plenty of games that work for console better though. Some 3rd person shooters, racing games, or anything that doesn't require precise omni directional movement or camera control.

But I will say that the Wii has entered into an area that no other console or PC can do very well...yet. :D
