Posted August 12, 200817 yr I looked up and down the list of nations, but I don't see Canada listed. Why are they not participating in the Olympics? All they do is play hockey? ...lol  http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/beijing/medals;_ylt=AjnTshymNc8sYvmK2cRw_OSVTZd4

August 12, 200817 yr Well there's your problem you have the medal count list not the country list:p  LOL, true enough, man we suck. This isn't researched or anything but I think Canada usually gets about 1/10th the medals the US gets. Considering we have 1/10th the population that isn't too bad. 2004 US had 103 and Canada had 12. Project that ten times and we have 120. LOL. Some logic huh? 2000 US nad 92 and Canada had 14. Again, that's 140 in my logic.
August 12, 200817 yr wow according to that medal list china's kicking some butt, they have 13 golds that's nearly double to the next most with is US at 7.
August 13, 200817 yr Phelps > all nuff said oh, and Gator, its obvious that Canada is not real, its just The Place Above America

August 14, 200817 yr I watched the women's synchronised diving last night and the Chinese were like machines. WOW were they awesome! Must be the homecourt advantage. No doubt......it was amazing to see all the teams synchronized, but China was off the hook......home court advantage for certain.
August 14, 200817 yr anyone watch the gymnastics where china was using girls who obviously were not old enough to compete? 14 year olds... they were tiny. Yeah, but it's hard to say by looking at a person now a days about how old they are....some look too young and others look older and you never really know.
August 14, 200817 yr Reports are that their passports and birth certificates did not match up... and one was missing a tooth... a baby tooth. Even one of the old gymnastics coaches, who has been doing this for years, said that there is no way they are old enough.
August 14, 200817 yr Awesome Phelps! Not the Phelps of the "Impossible Missions" from the tv serie in the 70's. Egidio.
August 14, 200817 yr Oops ...sorry about that ...I didn't notice  They might have a chance against Uzbekistan next week when they have the beer cap shooting, tuque knitting, and moose tipping events. August 14, 200817 yr We have a 14 year old diving "prodigy" in the 10ft diving... if they are good enough then why not! Because the rules say the minimum age is 16.
August 14, 200817 yr really? dont really care. You asked, sort of. That's the answer. I personally don't care either, but if they are going to compete, they need to follow the rules/guidelines of the competition.
