I am amazed that DICE can release a game for consoles but not for the PC. It seems they are afraid that piracy will run amok. I am all for game protection and copy protection just so I can play the game without jumping thru hoops. If they would design the protection to reward legal copies and punish the pirates then I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Require the original disk to be in the drive at start up. I am sure they can put characters on it that can not be duplicated at home. Seems they gave up on the PC.

I hope they come out with the Battlefield 3 before Xmas. It has been a long time coming. I have Bad Company for Xbox 360 and i must say it is a pretty fun game.
Battlefield 3 before Christmas. Definately not. Maybe Heroes because it was supposed to be released during the summer. If they used the frostbite engine then I would hope it look alot better with all of the AA on the computer because it looks really unrefined as of now.

Well, I would love to play it if it does come out. But, I can't play BF2 because of lag, so if it comes out I hope that my computer plays it. Maybe I should just go back to XP! :D

I thought that Vista was supposed to be almost as fast as XP in playing games with MODERN hardware. I have to stay on XP with a Pentium 4.
Hope the game is good! but i doubt it... I say first patch comes out one week from release LMAO!!

I would rather they put out a patch one week after launch then ignore any problems that were not found in beta. Patches are a sign that the developer wants to put out a game that works.

or that they are willing to at leasst try to fix any issues not spotted in beta (or spotted but they didnt have time to fix)

Seen this done regularly.. there is no "beta test" like a full release of the game itself.. even things in the beta that they dont see till everyone starts playing, cause even beta has a limited amount of testers on different systems etc.

Well, one of my sons was enjoying many years of CS 1.6 and running his own server for it. Even with the new Vista pc I gave him. Until a while ago when many with vista were disabled by an update.

I still use xinxp pro on all other pcs. His was the first with vista.
