Ok peeps, i have two options

Option number 1 is a Playstation 3 80 gb or 40 gb, with the HDMI cables, 4 controllers and prolly a game or two. I am looking foward in getting the PS3 cause i have a HD 48" tv and as u all know it comes with blu-ray, and cause they dont charge you for playing online.

Option number 2 is the Xbox360 with all the cables, controllers, etc. I like the Xbox cause it has a better image than the PS3, it's cheaper, the only thing i dont like is that you have to pay to be able to play online.

Enlighten me peeps, what should i get :D !!

P.S: This doesn't mean i'm not gonna be playing oin my PC with you guys... It's mostly cause i kinda miss playing with a console and a controller and on tv :( and OBVIOUSLY if a good game comes out that we all agree on playing, IM GETTING IT FOR PC:D!!! So yeah, ima be doing both things at the same time, PC and PS3 or XBOX :p :D...

The blu-ray is a big draw, and free online play is nice. I would go with the PS3.

But it really depends on what games you want to play.

Mmm.. i guess in that situation both PS3 and Xbox make games for both consoles, and its just a couple of games that they make only for one console.

But thanks Luker, i know Blu-Ray is one of the great options that PS3 offers.. lets see what the rest have to say :D .

THE PREM. :p

You get what you pay for, Xbox Live is a lot better than PS3 online. $50 for 13 months of live isn't too bad, you can also probably find it cheaper on line. Xbox also has a lot better games.
im getting PS3 for birthday and games for christmas what games should i get i think im getting little big planet and maybe if i can GTA IV

Why is it alot better, in regards to playing online???

THE PREM :D

xbox 360 pros: great graphics, multi-user login on one system, play music during gameplay, some excellent games, good user interface, usb ports

xbox 360 cons: Have to pay to play online, If you have a friend over they need to be signed up to xbox live as well for you both to play split screen, wi-fi isn't built in, games cost $60 bucks brand new, ran by microsoft,

PS3 pros: Great graphics, Good user interface, Free to play online, wi-fi built in, blue-ray player, some excellent games, bluetooth headsets work, not ran by microsoft... :D , USB ports,

PS3 cons: No multi-user login, can't play music during gameplay with all games, games cost $60 bucks brand new

This is just what I can think of right now. They are both pretty good systems. Like any other system though it doesn't sell itself. Consider the games you will be playing, what games your friends have and so forth. Look at what future games are comming out and see if any of those are cross platform or just on one.

As far as picture goes. They are both pretty damn close. Your not going to really notice during gameplay, unless you like to pause and breakdown the picture pixel by pixel. There are games that 360 look better in and games the PS3 shines through. So you can't really base it on that.

Yes, the PS3 has the blu-ray in it. Since they are not making HI-Def movies anymore. That can hurt the 360 some. But as long as you can play the movie in it who cares. No one can really tell the difference between "p" and "I".

That is all I can really think of for these two systems. If anyone wants to add anything to it. Feel free.

By the way, I can tell the difference between "p' & "i" :D ,

All I can say is the PS3 has the best bang for the buck, and I have bought $15 and $20 games for my daughter at Target and Walmart, respectively. I'm sure both systems would be great for you, but I like the Blu-Ray Disc capability offered with the PS3 ...that's what sold me. I can surf the Internet with the "built-in" web browser, as well as access my videos and music files directly from my Windows Vista Home PC. It's very, very cool, as I now have the capability to show slide shows to family members via my PC to TV.

The Blu-Ray player gets routine updates via an easy download and install, and it also supports Blu-Ray Profile 2.0 that allows you to interact in different ways with your friends and BD disks.

You can get a 13 month subscription for $27 dollars with live cashback. Go to live.com and search for "xbox 12 months". Click the link on top that says cash back, then it's the fourth ebay listing. Make sure to buy it now and use payal.

get the wii

Already got it, my Beagle ate the video and audio connections just last night when i was out lol. He's just 11 months old, he doesnt know any better, i uploaded some pics of him some while back :D .

Yeah, the Blu-Ray and free online play is what makes me wanna buy the PS3. But i still have till this week end to decide, so any more suggestions will be appreciated :p

Who of you has the Xbox 360 and the PS3?????

THE PREM. :)

Well I'm about to have both Thomas is really Addicted to his 360 and I bet the same is gonna happened to me when I get the PS3 buri it depends are you moreof a online player with better graphics or singleplayer with more games

And notas great grapichs 1.) is PS3 the other one is 360 but it's it choice

Get a PS3. PS3 is less likely to suffer hardware failures than the crashbox 360 (3% to 5% for the PS3 compared to 15% to 40% on the XBox360). Online gaming is free on the PS3 while you have pay for the XBox Live. Plus, PS3 can play Blu-Ray discs with no add-ons while the XBox 360 can only play DVD discs (XBox 360 can play HD-DVD discs but it requires additional hardware and HD-DVD is dead).
i got both, i love them both...But i play the xbox360 and the old xbox more lol....as for blue-ray just buy the player for your PC and hook that to the TV...newegg.com got them for $99....

This is a no brainer really, i love both my Xbox and PS3 here, but in hindsightm i would have gotten the Xbox over the PS3.

Simply because the Xbox has a much larger, more established community, and alot better game base (99% of the games you can get on both consoles anyhow). 90% of all of my friends that play online play on the Xbox, i would look for some online usage figures but i cant find any.

Xbox live is cheap, in comparison to other services and allows alot of fuctions of hte Xbox to be fully utilised.. $4-5 per month isnt that bad to be honest, its about 10 minutes extra work a month for me..

you can get nice more feature rich Blu-ray players (standalone ones) cheaper now anyhow, and soon i am sure they will be similar to the $20 DVD players that you can get from the walmart special aisle, so even this shouldnt sway your decision..

Ok...I don't have either one but I have a few friends that do have the 360. If your going to get the 360 then I suggest that you get the elite (black) one. One of my friends went through 2 of the white ones in 1 year. He got the elite and he hasn;t had a problem one with it for a year now. Kdawg has sent his in already once to get repaired and he has the white one. Now rather there is a difference or not I don't know. But I'am getting one soon and I will be getting the 360 elite. As far as the Blu Ray goes...well like Shotty said , buy a stand alone blu ray, all your doing is putting more miles on your console than you really need too. I have another friend that has both and he plays the 360 way more than the PS3. Not sure if this helped you at all.....but if you get the 360...recone I will be seeing you online after X-Mas. Good luck in your decision .

:D -Well...if you have a good computer you do not need a crappy one as well (xbox). If you give it time xbox games end up on the PC anyways, so no gain there. The PS3 ACTUALLY has something to offer, free online (though not as polished you are not paying M$ to use it LoL), a blueray player actually makes a difference in video if you have the TV to support it (an xbox only really doubles as a space heater when you get bored with it :( ).

:p -SO...long story short and with NO bias at all :) . I say PS3, once they start cranking out the games it will have more longevity than the xbox...besides, you can probably win a free xbox (good price if it came with games LoL!)...they have to give them away to make money off the games and Live.

-As for the music while playing thing...are you kidding? Ever since my SuperNintendo (LoL clasic) I have turned the games 'music' volume to zero and cranked tunes through my CD player...I do the same thing on my computer (5.1 from the computer (game sounds) and two big endtable-looking speaker (CD player) boxes to either side {Sub/Wof/3way Mids x2}). As for the console gaming, it is almost the same...I can audio-out from two scources into my 5.1 (lower end...but I am poor) by the TV. I need a better TV, then I can just hook my comp up to it and have just ONE A/V setup.

Friends and I:

PS3-1

360s-2 (1 also has a Wii)

Wii-2 (including myself)

PC-everyone (6 of us that hang out regularly, only ones I counted above)

(I think we all have PS2s and all but 1 have GCs...no original xboxes {there was one but he 'upgraded'})

I have one of the 'two friends' burned out 360 as a Wii stand

None of us heavily play consoles anymore, when we do I am usually the one bringing the Wii to whoever's house so we can play SSB:Brawl LoL (but to be fair, we just got it and where playing the GC version until we did so that is not console bias)

-side note-I am the only Nintendo fanboy of us :)

hey i would have to say 360. The 360 online is much much better than the ps3's online. Also with 360 it comes with a free headset which makes the games feel much more live and enjoyable, where as the ps3 does not come with a hard drive so the online can feel computerized or dead. I have a 360 and i absolutely love it, the games are better in my opinion and really with the live you get what you pay for. It equals out to about 5 bucks a month fir the 12 month plus one month free card.
yes get PS3 then we could be buds i just bought one on ebay for 315 with shipping from very reliable 9 yr user and i need to know what i should get for it like game wise i know GTA IV
All PS3s have hard drives. The 160 GB PS3 just hit the shelves. And it's easy to swap the hard drive with one that has a larger capacity (most notebook SATA hard drives will work with the PS3). Although you can get hard drive modules for the XBox 360, you're stuck with what Microsoft has to offer (120 GB is the largest you can get for the XBox 360). And if you have a router thats supports wireless, the PS3 has builtin wireless capability while you have to fork out another $100 for the XBox 360 wireless adapter.
im getting PS3 for birthday and games for christmas what games should i get i think im getting little big planet and maybe if i can GTA IV

No your not, and you will never get GTA ever. Get the 360 for sure, more downloadable content for your games, and it has classic games specifically for the console(HALO 3). plus the graphix b much better Online play is the best. :D
