Hello everyone. It has been quite awhile, I know, but I come to you all today with a heavy heart. On December 20th my little baby Meryl was killed in a car accident and on December 25th her mother and my wife Grace passed on as well from the same accident. We were driving home from a Portland Pirates game, my wife at the wheel since I had been drinking. Meryl was behind me strapped into her baby car seat. We got the green light at a 4-way crossing when my wife's crossover was rammed on the driver side by a drunk driver (Hummer). It pushed us off the road and turned us sideways. Little Meryl didn't have a chance, and Grace and I were really beat up.

 

I had a broken femur and some blood clotting, but Grace took the brunt of it and was not able to walk away. I apologize if I seem to be playing a violin, I just miss them both so much, especially Grace. I have missed all of you as well though, so I am going to try and pull myself out of this hole and crawl back into The Armory. Love you all, and hope to play with you soon. I just don't know where to start.

I am greatly saddened for you Novikov ...extremely saddened. My prayers are with you and your wife's family, and I pray that God will give you strength to help you through this time of personal tragedy. In time, and when you feel up to it, please stop by and visit us to let us know how you are doing. As you know, we are here for you. Not just in a virtual sense, but real people who have also lost loved ones.

I don't know what to say. I hate drunk drivers they all should burn in hell. I hope this guy is convicted of vehicular manslaughter. Novikov i can not express in words how i feel for you right now. I am very sadened by your news. I have not lost a family member to a situation like this but have lost a good friend to one . I know it can be hard to even get out of bed sometimes , probably most day's. We are here for you and you make your way back when it is right for you . Just know we will always be here when you are ready or just need to talk to someone. I know people alway's say they are in a better place and i know it really is not all that comforting . but from what i have heard about Grace over the last few years chating in vent I am 100 % positve that this is the case.

I am so sorry to hear this sad and tragic news. My prayers go out to you, and your wifes family. I hope that you can overcome this tragedy. On reading the other posts, I think that I can say that the Armory is here for you and if you ever need to talk to someone, I'm sure there will be many people willing to listen. Take your time and just know we are all thinking of you.

I'm glad that he took the responsibility for his actions. I just have zero tolerance for this thing too many lives have been lost because of drunk driving. You're a good guy Novikov it would take anyone else alot just to even consider lessening charges like that. Don't worry about getting into gaming to fast take it slow. And like all of us have said if you need us we are here. I'm glad that you are okay and i am deeply sadened for your loss.
