October 13, 200322 yr Fedex just dropped of my 120GB (with 8MB cache) HD!!! I am going to be down a few hour getting my file server up and my game system...See you guys in about 2-3 hours!I am all gidy!

It took me a little longer to get things running cause my wife made me driver her shopping...had to make up for not telling her about my HD coming . I am about to install HL and all my mod stuff. I should have it up and soon. I will be on after work in the morning...thankfully I only have to work about 4 hours!
October 14, 200322 yr With the old hd, make a second hd in "slave" for your backups like mine.C:\ for works, play, etc and the D:\ for all backup files & others stuffs that you dont want to loose.Cos when it crash, only C:\ must be formated, reformated but never the D:\...Egidio.
October 14, 200322 yr Author Before my new HD come in I had 2 HDs in my computer ( 40GB & 30GB). I am moving the 40GB over the to the file server and putting the 30GB in my computer with the 120GB. I am not sure what I am going to do with all this space but I will think of something

October 15, 200322 yr StateCop, put your 30 or 40 GB. hd on C:\ & your 120 GB. on D:\ cos your 120 GB. take a long time to format than the 40 & 30...If it was mine, i shall put the 120 for backup files, cos it will be never reformated after you have installed & formated it : it's most easy to reformat a 30 or 40 GB. than the 120 GB. : 3 more time most than the 40...Keep your 30 or 40 who was the main C:\ and the 120 GB. in D:\ for backups... But dont forget to change his jumper on "slave" cos it's in "master" when you buyed it.Egidio.
