I just installed the game but at the end while trying to install DirectX I get this message:

 

Battlefield 2142 was unable to install DirectX. Please ensure that DirectX 9.0 or later is installed.

 

So I install DirectX 9 manually and I run the game and it isn't in fullscreen. There's a couple of inches off at each side, left and right.

 

I'm going to reinstall the entire game by running the setup.exe as Administrator and see if that helps.

then most likely it doesnt support the screen size so u would have to force it.

Ok I think that worked. Going to set the video settings first then try it out.

 

EDIT: That worked. I put +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050 in the target line in the shortcut. Thanks ifrit.
