March 19, 201015 yr IF i may ask, how'd you get it to work?? I'm having the same issues, and can't find the life of me find a fix!
March 20, 201015 yr What worked for me is to run it in Admin mode. Go to your short-cut, choose properties, select "Compatibility" Tab and at the bottom select "Run this program as an administrator"
March 20, 201015 yr Tried that one, also tried running under Campatabilty mode for Xp-Vista. Reinstalled with UAC turned off, ran all files/ patches as admin, still nothing at all. Crashes to desktop every time.
March 20, 201015 yr Hm, Do you have latest drivers for your Sound and Graphics Cards? (sorry if that was an obvious question) Also is it 32Bit or 64Bit?
March 20, 201015 yr No problem at all, totally understandable. I do have the latest drivers for both, I also tried rolling back drivers for the video card and trying Beta drivers. Sound card I let auto update, and is up to date, but i think I'll try removing it and seeing if/ what that will do. Windows is 64 bit. The only drivers that I have that are "out of date" would be my mobo drivers, I need to do some research as to how to flash the bios with win7. Don't know if that could be an issue. I also have SLI 8800 GTS', I've tried disabling SLI as well, to no avail.
March 21, 201015 yr Your mobo manufacturer should have a utility to flash your bios. Some provide a program you can run in windows but the best way is to download the update to a thumb drive and flash from your bios screen. Again your mobo manufacturer should have directions on their support page.
March 21, 201015 yr I've updated my Mobo Bios during my XP to Win7 upgrade. So maybe that's why it works. I'm also running Win7 64Bit so I don't think that's the issue (since it runs for me) I don't have SLI setup so I don't know what that could cause, I have only single 8800GTX. Sorry can't help more :peace:
March 21, 201015 yr Success!! I took out my sound card (SB Audigy Platinum 2)and upgraded BIOS, don't know which it was, but it finally works! Thanks all!
