March 16, 201015 yr I was just browsing the Samsung website when i came across this. http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/tv-video/televisions/led-tv/UN46C7000WFXZA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&returnurl= Looks cool can't wait to get one!!
March 16, 201015 yr They have one these (or maybe it's a sony 3d tv) on display at best buy. It really didn't look that great, maybe it was just the movie they were playing but the 3D is really subtle. Of course you have to wear the glasses too so you have to have enough for everyone or all they will see be a really out of focus/blurry picture. If they could come up with a new system that didn't require the glasses I'd get one just for this http://noctalis.com/nocturne/pics/starwars/help_me_obi_wan.jpg

March 19, 201015 yr I don't think these 3D televisions are going to catch on. Mainly because they aren't really 3D. There are television that don't need glasses, but you have to sit in a specific position for the images to hit the correct eyes. I read years ago about more of a holographic system. The star ways example is perfect. With the holographic system I read about showing NBA games in holograms. Still, the problem I have with this is that normally people are sitting down and watching television. So If anything it would have to be like sitting in a box seat and looking through a window (and how 3D is that, think of the window at the screen of the television). I am not sure how physically you should be viewing the image. Because I still like the fact that there are multiple cameras that are at different angles and I don't have to move a single muscle to watch a sports program.

March 20, 201015 yr The new ones i think use a polarization technique Yea they do I forgot about that, If you look in a mirror while wearin' the glasses you can't see your eyes or they appear to be flashing really fast. If you close one eye you can't see through 1 side of the glasses.
