August 16, 201015 yr My wife and I, and another couple took our boats to Lake Michigan this past week (and a few other friends tagged along as well).. We put in at East Chicago on Thursday mid morning, and drove up to Milwaukee.. Spent the night there, saw the sights, and then on Friday, went down to Racine, WI for the day and night... Saturday morning we drove down to Chicago and watched the air show from the harbor (it was flippin awsome!)... We did the river cruise in both Milwaukee and Chicago, and Milwaukee was bar far, the better river cruise.. After the air show, we did the cruise, and then headed east to Michigan City where we spent the night.. Sunday, we got up, and headed over to the dunes for several hours, before heading back to East Chicago and pulling out and going home.. Had a blast, and will do it again.. We had two absolutely perfect days on the water, and two a little rough days on the water.. Thankfully, the two bad days were our short drive days..
