So, the other night we get called out at about 1:30 - 2:00 in the morning for Semi-tanker rollover at the I-57 exit to our city.. Well, of course that was not quite all there was.. This guy had fallen asleep (or passed out) exiting the interstate and failed to continue making his right hand turn to follow the off ramp. Left the ramp, went down the hill, back up the hill, skipped across the North-bound on ramp, and then jacknifed and rolled down the other side of the hill into a drainage ditch. He was hauling dry cement, and escaped with not much more than a few scratches.. He did get an escort to the hospital by the State Police, they weren't very impressed with the open containers litering the cab, and I thought I was nearly drunk off his odor he was putting out.. It's amazing what some alcohol will get you out of. I've seen a lot of vehicles destroyed before, but not seen anyone walk away from one as well as this guy did.. Just glad no one else was around or on the on ramp he crossed, when it happened..
