Hello TA, Im an Raidon from ->StK<- and we recently played a match whitch CaL whitch TA won. However im an requesting a rematch be played sometime this week. You guys have a ton of skill be honestly we just want one more shot. Although the match will probably come out the same. I would still like a replay. Honestly macgyver i dont think you understand what im saying. StK lost correct. But we have the rest of the week according to JHW to play a rematch with TA. Your server laged quit a bit for my guys. I dont consider this fair at all. Do you??? Im requesting a rematch. I dont think there should be a reason you refuse it.

i couldnt make it tonight bcuz of connection problems with the server, i understand the match has already been submitted, and if thats where you guys stand , thats fine. but if you decide that a rematch is in order, which i think is :/, i hope we can play on neutral groundbtw: this is not to piss anyone off or say that you did not play a good game, im just stressed over the connection problem i had with the server

It would have been better if you would have p/m'd me or e-mail'd me on this and explain what your intention/'s were the first time. It did not look like a formal rematch request and nothing was mentioned by Paradigm in game that this was happening. The TAC server is among the top 5 best pinging servers in FA. Our provider's bandwidth upstream connectivity is to Verio, and has a direct Gigabit Ethernet (2,000mbps) connection directly to Verio. If you had connections problems, I would suggest you speak with your provider. The match is completed, so lets move on. :mrgreen:

Well for one we are not on 56ks no one in stk is on them. Also your server was pinging very badly. Gator if i can prove we had a advrage of 60 higher ping then all your players will ypu rematch?

 

Also were you on steam yesterday??? Must not have been because 90% of the Steam network was down. Its not our providers. Its not our connection. So agin I am going to ask you that we replay this match on a diffrent server.

 

Also no one here is saying your server is a piece of shit. All were saying is that 6 of my players out of 7 had 50+ lose and 30 + choke. Let me ask you something is this fair????? If your going to play in CAL then play correct. If StK would have won and you guys would have had terrible lag. I would have surly let you replay the match on a server with equal pings. So plz be sportsman like and do the right think.

 

<edit> Gator I have always respected you and the way you run your clan. TA has been around longer then I have. Keeping a clan that long is not a easy task. Please dont change my mind about you and TA.

ahh you didnt read..... i said a advrage of 60 ping higher then TA...... That means my guys were playing at around 160 or so. Also when your use to playing at 160 ping thats fine but my guys uslay ping around 80 or lower.

im no senior council member so my opinion doesn't count, but I think I can understand what Stk is saying and i think they might be entitled to a rematch. Though, I must say I dont think I quite like subervsive's tone of "voice". Also, I sometimes get pings of 220 plus on the TA server and it doesn't lag at all. though with the crappy steam network and the apparent high loss and choke, Stk's argument has some credence, I just dont like the way they are presenting their request. again though, im not a senior council member and my opinion doesnt count. im sure this thing is being worked out via pm anyway.

Well, let me educate some of you. STEAM is only used to authenticate player connections. Once authenticated, STEAM is out of the picture, and the the game is 100% controlled by the server... In this case, the TA TAC server. I'm sorry you guys had some bad connections, but we offered a very good server for the game. Our Euro clan members have great gameplay on the TAC server, so I don't know why you guys didn't. I really don't see a need to replay the game. Both teams showed up, the games were played, and one team came out ahead. If you felt the server was not playable, you should have asked early on for a rematch, and not after both games were played out.The official game is over, and is now part of CAL history. If you would like to challenge us to a rematch for fun, we would be very happy to play you again.

Personally, I didn't have any problems, I just suck, but Infinate dropped once or twice, then couldn't rejoin due to his lag. Herki and Prodge had severe choke and loss, and CapsLock did a bit iirc.

AK had connection problems as well.

 

Mac: True, I didn't say anything, but usually AK is there to be our 'leader', and if he isn't, Infinate is, and he couldn't stay in, so really, we didn't know what to do. I know it sounds dumb, but usually we don't run into this problem, and we weren't prepared for the situation.

I disagree.

StK believed that there *might* be reason for a rematch and brought up the perfectly reasonable question. I don't believe they are using excuses, but are waiting for a definitive answer to the question. For example, Paradigm is absolutely correct in backing up his clan, as I would expect anyone in TA to do if the situations were reversed.

Look at this from StK's perspective. They had a noticable ping difference from the TA players and wondered if it did not cause their loss in some part. If it were us, we would be stating that same "excuses". StK has not called us cheaters or llama's or anything like that. Do not let the fact that they disagree with us allow you to believe that they are at fault. By this time, we know that you can disagree and still have fun playing together (Kywalker for example )

However, I do agree with Gator that the issue needed to have been brought up at the time of the match and not later. At this point I think that StK may need to accept that the game is over even if they disagree. For me, I will just caulk it up a learning experience and ensure that I communicate any concerns I have early next time I am in a CAL match.

A bragging rights match may be just what everyone here needs to get back in the game and realize its about having fun!

capslock and herki are euros if im not mistaken. Pinging around 110 from europe on that server wow damn thats good!!!only sTk player with bad ping is prodge 212 or smt...none of my business i know seems good clean win by TA

<--- I am from Europa too and my ping is between 125 to 200 with a 30 to 60 fps never reach the 72 or 100 fps. And 1 time i got a ping between 100 & 125.<--- When my ping become 200 and over, i begin to lag... 300 i do to quit the game and restart the connection... :idea: Egidio.

OK heres one for you.Round two.Magey, Radioactive, and myself all shared the same cable modem connection.That would explain the same pings for "US".Magey dropped b/c of Steam/disconnection. Early on.Radioactive the same near the end of the game.What is the CAL rule on Ping differences? 100 correct?We had good server response. I must agree with ->StK<- on this one, with the new coming of the Steam system, the best pinging server is not always the fairest. We recently played a match against [HK], first round we played on their server and we lost by 7 reins. The second round we played on CAL server and won by.. a lot. When the tie breaker came up, they invoked their right to choose the server and chose their server (whether it be for advantage or not is not the point). While playing on their server our clan didn't have 'BAD' pings we actaully had.. ok pings. The point is, pings mean nothing when the server lags in other ways. I personally had a constant 60 fps on the CAL server but, when in the [HK] server 15-22 was the most FPS I had, I litterally could not rush, and guarding the house with an m60 was very difficult. I have a screen where I happened to get lucky around the begining of the match (I was 0-4) I caught two guys in the house and oddly the server did not print my name correctly, to which I've never seen before.

Basically my point is, more should be taken into consideration then ping, I'm not sure who the provider for the [HK] server is and whether or not its the same as [TA] just saying ping doesn't mean everything.
