I take it Jedi, from your comments, that you are against this war. Let me remind you why thousands of Americans, British, and other coalition soldiers are risking their lives. We need to rid the world of such evil dictators as Sadam Hussein and his regime. He possesses weapons of mass destruction including chemical, biological, and possibly nuclear weapons. He has used these weapons against his own people and is a threat to his neighbors and the rest of the world. You might remember in 1991 when he invaded Kuwait without provocation. His regime has tortured and killed thousands of people. The people of Iraq have been repressed for decades under this evil regime. Sadam Hussein's regime has ties to AL Quida which was responsable for the September 11th Trade Center disaster. I'm sure if Poland was attacked and thousands of innocent Polish people were killed, you might feel differently. Sadam Hussein is as evil as Adolf Hitler. You might remember in the late 1930's when Germany invaded Poland. Millions of Jews were slaughtered in the Holocaust. Adolf Hitler and his regime were commiting atrosites and gaining power for years before WWII. Most of the world turned the other cheek and did not want to get involved. Eventually things got so out of control that the Alied countries had no choice but to get involved and fight the evil Axis powers. We prevailed in WWII just ike we will prevail in this war. I often wonder if the rest of the world would have gotten involved sooner and taken down this evil empire that Hitler was building, if millions of Jews would have been slaughtered. I wonder if we could have seen what a threat he was to the rest of the world sooner, if we couldn't have stopped him before he had the chance to do so much destruction. Yes, lives would have been lost but the outcome would have been far less costly than what happened in WWII. We will never again let evil dictators get so powerful. We will never again sit by and watch as evil regimes get more and more powerful. Sadam Hussein and his regime is a threat to the rest of the free world. That includes the United States, Great Britian and yes, even Poland. We are doing what is right so future generations can live in a world without fear. We are doing this for my children and grandchildren and your children and grandchildren. We are protecting "OUR" future. I find it ironic that you being from Poland and what happened there before and during WWII, that you couldn't understand why this MUST be done.

The Allies did wait to long to do something about Hitler and his aggresion. Yes, Americans did not get into the war until we were attacked at Pearl Harbor and had no choice. That is my point. Maybe if we would have gotten invloved much earlier, some of the atrosities of the Nazi regime could have been avoided. I don't think that my comparison of Hussein and Hitler is wrong. My point being that maybe we can learn from past mistakes and not let another "Holocaust" ever happen again.
