I decided to try this mod this morning. If I'm not mistaken, since this is listed under the "my games" section of steam, and Firearms is under "third party", then Ricochet is an officially supported game. Why do they officially support such an insipid and boring game? Talk about lack of depth. Jump around and throw discs at players and try to knock them into space. Unless I missed something, thats the point of the game. No different weapons, no skills, no different classes. Whoopee........I play alot of DoD as well as Firearms, and in my opinion, DoD can't hold a candle to Firearms. It is very realistic and fun to play, but Firearms has more depth and varied gameplay than any mod out there except perhaps Natural Selection, another good mod that Valve doesn't get behind. It is sad to see the dwindling numbers of players on the FA servers. I just hope when HL2 comes out, it will not signal the death of the really good unofficial mods that are out there. Just my 2 cents. Anyway, happy holidays to everyone.

Riochet rocks man. It's addictive in a Pac-Man sorta way. It doesn't need depth, different weapons, classes, etc.Riochet has gone back to the basis (much like Serious Sam) and I think it's really funand I believe DoD is a much more polished mod than FA. Both mods are extremly fun to play, but I find DoD has alot better models/mapsAnd it really matters how you (jables) defines 'depth'

before i played FA, i owned everyone at ricochet. serious. nobody could touch me but then it got boring and now im here.

Sniper warfare in TFC was the ultimate. You knew when your screen turned red that you were completely and utterly screwed.

the creators of CS didn't make DoD, it just says that now b/c valve bought and owns the title.

so this means the real DOD members don't make it any more? Damn that kinda sux, so thats why I don't like this version as much.
