PUNISHER
The sterling has terrible accuracy and not so great damage. I see people running with it and getting kills from a pretty far distance away. Can you guys share your secrets cause it looks like fun

Deadeye
use it sorta like a shotgun, get real close then mash down on the trigger at about their chest level. The recoil should bring the spray up to their head level. I did a bit of checking. It takes 15 bullets to the chest(using hvy armor) using any 9mm firing gun to actually kill the person(not including bleeding). However without any armor at all (if a friendly clay stripped it all) it only takes 3 9mm to kill. I figured this out last night while my friend was over and using the other comp. Deadeye
thats why I never use anything that used 9mm. my most common loadout is ssg+DE+med armor+helm+arms. I'm mainly a sniper, but I always play with the sound cranked way up so I can hear people coming towards me. I've found that just unloading all 8 shots at the guy is usually enough to kill

DeadRoach
Point, run the gun wide open, spray toward the head.... all while circling strafing... really nothing too it. If I get at about medium range, I usually start firing in short bursts. Expect to reload alot.My "Sterling Rep" loadout is full heavy (since you have to be close, you need the protection), claymore, and extra bandages. Marks I then Noma, after that it depends on my mood. I tried Noma first once, but I seemed to be working 30 percent better with Marks I on so I stuck with it. Just make sure you kill your target on one clip, otherwise your dead without Noma... either that or learn to sprint, weave, and reload all at the same time. PUNISHER
I always run out of ammo before i get super close. I keep my x-hair on the head at all times.question, on the controls config there is a "strafe modifier" key. What does strafe modifier do and is it useful? DeadRoach
Strafe modifier key is an archaec throwback to the days of Doom. Back before the days where peaple aimed with a mouse, they aimed with a keyboard... and the strafe modifier key was the key you held down to turn your left and right keys into strafe left and right keys instead (much like holding down the walk key in Halflife makes run forward into walk forward). I guess there's a few peaple who might still play that way.
