February 15, 201510 yr hey guys! So i made a post a little while ago about my finger being cut on a table saw and that I couldn't play for a while. But I've managed to play without using my left index finger for a bit and it's not the best, but not my worst haha! Anyway, our friend Popinski told me I should post some pictures of it for people to see if they so desired, so here they are! Unfortunately it was tough to get pictures before the stitches so you cant see the full cut but it almost went entirely through the tip of my index finger. The bone was broken and through most of the flesh. Who's hungry?! So these are just before stitches and the x-ray was just after. You can see the tip of the bone separated. /monthly_02_2015/post-2546-0-02632400-1423965036_thumb.jpg /monthly_02_2015/post-2546-0-16249200-1423965043_thumb.jpg these are just after stitches /monthly_02_2015/post-2546-0-30650500-1423965039_thumb.jpg /monthly_02_2015/post-2546-0-16249200-1423965043_thumb.jpg /monthly_02_2015/post-2546-0-57524800-1423965145_thumb.jpg /monthly_02_2015/post-2546-0-08351800-1423965150_thumb.jpg and these are a week after. /monthly_02_2015/post-2546-0-51942700-1423965178_thumb.jpg /monthly_02_2015/post-2546-0-46405900-1423965180_thumb.jpg The black part of my finger got pretty bad. but its been receding the last few days which is a good sign! Flexibility is coming back and luckily no tendons or joints were hit! My middle finger was only grazed but they put one stitch in it to be safe. Pretty gnarly but it'll make for a good story and constant reminder of safety with the tools and machines I use for work. /monthly_02_2015/post-2546-0-85577400-1423965154_thumb.jpg /monthly_02_2015/post-2546-0-21105700-1423965157_thumb.jpg
February 15, 201510 yr Thanks for sharing ...lol Thank God you didn't lose one of your digits. I blew the flesh off of my fingers with a Philippine version of an M80 firecracker. I still have scars on my finer tips ...very painful.
February 15, 201510 yr Be careful with that machinery, I have drill press's and lathes and mills that I've worked around, that shit can kill ya! Heal up quick!! I'll go through my pics and find the ones I have of my ankle from last year when I got run over by a truck!
February 15, 201510 yr When working with machinery. Rule #1 NEVER STICK YOUR FINGERS WHERE YOU WOULDN'T STICK YOUR DICK
