April 5, 201610 yr I'm reading that revive requires that a combat medic carry around medkits (1 per revive). Are we running a mod that doesn't require that? Which one is it?

April 5, 201610 yr The mission we use is made by "Ghost," which has several mods pre-installed in the script: - Auto generates missions randomly - Added script to shows names of players on map - Added Evac support choppers for "Pick up" in the field - Added "Cargo Drop" for for delivering vehicles to the field - Added Tele-porter to the Marina for Sea vehicles on the Coast - Added Ground vehicles "on-demand" request menu that alows players to chose their own aircraft - Added Air vehicles "on-demand" request menu on demand menu that alows players to chose their own vehicles - Added "Revive" function to bring playrs back from the Arma afterlife - Added "Virtual Armory" to rearm your backpack, vest, and uniform items needed for the field/mission Berreta and ACS added: - Added "Tow Ropes," so you can attach to vehicles and tow them (handy for moving aircraft into position on the airfield) - Added "Cargo Ropes" for use with the helicopters to move vehicles and equipment to the field - Moved Vehicle menu and HALO drop, and Marina Tele-porter to the camo netted area - Added a few vehicle to the airfiled, like the chopper with the open suicide seats - Added a mobile "Med Station" to treat returning soldiers from missions (walk near building and you will be healed) - Added modifier to reduce weapons sway and recoil - Added hud_vitals mod, which shows you health, compass, and ammo inventory (this can be download though Steam) - Added a weapons sound pack to the server, but I don't remember the name of it, as I don't use it yet I may be missing a few items, so this list may change.

April 5, 201610 yr You must be a Medic to use the Med kit, and you must be a Engineer to use the Tool kit, and you must be a UAV specialist to summon UAVs, etc. With that said, if you have medical supply's (not the Med kit), you can treat/heal yourself, but you will not achieve full health unless you are treated by a Medic with a Med kit

In answer to your original question, we use the original revive system from Bohemia (BIS_fnc_revive). It does not require a medikit or first aid kit to revive with the settings we have, but can be modified so that it does. It can also be changed so that only Combat Medics can revive (with a Medikit).

Thanks for the detail. Where can I read up on the mission download? If we get a few more people on regularly I could see it being medic-only. I noticed fatigue is off. Is run speed affected by weight of your load?
April 7, 201610 yr I noticed fatigue is off. Is run speed affected by weight of your load? Yes. It can get to a point where you hardly move at all. As for going up hills, you might as well forget it. It's a nice feature, just needs to be toned down... a lot. If we get a few more people on regularly I could see it being medic-only. That is certainly a possibility. Where can I read up on the mission download? As in what you can/can't do? The features of the mission can be found in game. Go to the map and select the 'Mission Features'. A description of everything available is there. This may need updating with the alterations we have made though.
April 8, 201610 yr - Added a weapons sound pack to the server, but I don't remember the name of it, as I don't use it yet I think it's the JSRS DragonFyre sound pack. Adds enhanced sound to weapons/vehicles etc. I haven't tried it yet, but everyone who has tried it says how great the game sounds with it.
April 8, 201610 yr Yep Patches_Mcfluffy recommended this one to me. I'm not sure if I can tell the difference on my speakers. Maybe noticeable more on headsets.
