Screw the $30, I want to know if this card is going to blow up or something. At least send me a new card.

I got that email too. Apparently it's about the video card being falsely advertised as 4GB even though it really is only 3.5GB. At least that's what I read.

Yeah Slow showed me this article. http://www.polygon.com/2016/7/28/12315238/nvidia-gtx-970-lawsuit-settlement

I think its kinda lame were only getting $30 out of it. They should be giving us cards that we bought with the specs that should have been on on the card. Doing and exchange or something. They could resell the cards they take back, sell them to get some money off them, but sell them with the proper specs.

I hope AMD comes out with an ad that is making of NVIDIA for this bullshit. I can't believe NVIDIA did this. I always thought they were the best card producers and most advanced in tech, and trustworthy. Screw NVIDIA, what other cards did they lie about now?

Makes me want to switch over to Radeon cards...

Thanks Red, I actually feel a lot better reading that. I'm not that big of a tech guy so finding out that I payed for something sub par of what i thought i bought sucked. But if the card can put out the same horse power as it should (I liked that car analogy) then all this really is was a misinterpretation oh what was on the card.

then all this really is was a misinterpretation oh what was on the card.

That is exactly what is was. Because of the disabled sections of the card the engineers made a slow bridge to the last 512MB of memory. But the marketing department didn't get the memo. GTX 970 is a damn good card for 1080p gaming. I, Mr. AMD Fanboi, purchased one. At the time, 970 cheaper, less wattage, and faster in some AAA titles compared to AMD's 290X for a spare gaming PC.

I just bought the R9 380 on the 30th of July. Nevermind the mail-in rebate.
