Damn tornados have no since of timing. We lost all power. I got lucky though. Every tree in the neighborhood is down but mine. It just went north of my house. Every better there were no reports of injuries.

 

Hmm. Glad you are OK. Hate to see the legendary Axlerod1 get beaten by a small tree haha

Dude I got so lucky. My neighborhood sounds like a bunch of chainsaw crazy lumber jacks running around in it right now.

 

Tornado alarms have gone off again. This is the 4th time today.

Lots of power outages. My work is still without power.

 

I had to people schduled to pick the new harleys up to and a third to come in and pick his first harley out.

 

I have been working from home. That is a whole other nightmare logging into the system.

 

I guess there were 8 tornados in all, 2 in Kokomo.

 

I am sure things will be back to normal by the weekend.

Glad you're okay. We don't see many tornadoes in WV, but I saw my share of them in MS. Never liked them.

 

I lived through Katrina. 98% of the city was without power. Nobody in my neighborhood had a generator. I had a gas-fired welder with 110 receptacles. It put out dirty power, but it was good enough to run a little window unit, tv, dvd player, and a fridge. It was pretty loud and all my neighbors had all their windows open, hoping for a breeze, and all they heard all day was a constant reminder that I was comfortable inside, watching movies, and drinking cold beer. It took a couple weeks for the gas situation to straighten out. As each filling station got power, everyone would flock to it and it would empty. Most people waited in line for a couple hours. I had enough gas in my garage to get me through.

That's some scary stuff being around tornado alley. I thought tornadoes were more of a springtime situation, not so much late summer or fall

It's not enough to power a home, just a few appliances. And there's a limit to how many extension cords you can plug in and how long they can be. I offered a couple neighbors to come inside, but they declined.
