December 19, 20168 yr Not true Larry, I just don't like easy mode. It's fine for kids and console players i guess but it's not for me. If you want to run and gun you will hate this mode. You have to slow down and look before you just start spraying. We took out a nest of snipers last night by using team work and not kill cam. You really have to be aware of your environment and every squad member must communicate with each other calling stuff out. I truly have fallen in love with BF1 since I figured out some of the settle little things in this game mode. It is quite fun. What I really miss is team sync more then anything. This game needs it so much more. If not, it is best to just be in a squad and each squad do their own thing together and hope the rest of the team does their jobs.
December 19, 20168 yr Not true Larry, I just don't like easy mode Hardcore isn't any harder than Normal mode, so that is just plain bullshit. In fact, Normal mode is a little harder when making kills because the Damage is set to 100%. Hardcore is more like playing the "Light" version of the game without all the bells and whistles. Maybe you will better understand by giving you an analogy: It's like buying a basic Harely Davidson motorcycle with nothing but tires and speedometer. Kind of plain, ya know It's fine for kids and console players i guess but it's not for me. Now we have to resort to name calling, that is unfortunate If you want to run and gun you will hate this mode. Yes, I like to run and gun. It's an FPS game for god's sake We took out a nest of snipers last night by using team work and not kill cam. Yes, well I took that time and cap a shit load of flags, got a high score, and won the round. Would you like a cookie? You really have to be aware of your environment and every squad member must communicate with each other calling stuff out. Really? Is that how it's done? We were also doing that in Normal mode, so how exactly would if be any different in Hardcore mode? It's called teamwork, and I have always used it in gameplay. Nothing new here. As I stated before, we will have the opportunity to play our desired mode(s), and that is that. Please don't get angry at anyone who doesn't want to play Hardcore. Calling Normal mode players "kids and console players" will get you nowhere.
December 19, 20168 yr Getting awful defensive there Larry. I guess having kill cam and mini map and 3d spotting is OK for you but I just don't like it. I like the challenge. No name calling but easy mode is what the kids like these days and they all play on consoles... 25% more damage I guess is OP to Bottom line is this which ever mode you prefer: DICE needs to get their shit together so we can play together

December 19, 20168 yr Your right Larry. I guess the fact that 67% of game sales are on consoles and and being bought by people under the age of 25 and 2/3 of them are playing normal mode is name calling. I get confused

Im by far not the best Scout in the game but I'm pretty damned accurate when I want to be. Had 2 squads on the mountain between A and B in Sinai. As quick as you could kill them they would spawn back. 8-10 of them 2 of us. I think when all was said and done I had like 17 sniper kills myself. Yeah i died a few times but averaged a solid 3-1 kill ratio. Am i gonna have to start smacking Bitches? Play nice children
December 20, 20168 yr You know there is a problem with hardcore mode when you (me) can and consistently do go from a 4:1 KDR on Argonne and Amiens (No real sniper presence), to a sub 1 to 1:1 KDR on every other map. (all super open, exposed flags, tons of space between points.... 40 snipers on each team of 32 people.... etc). This isn't me somehow only sucking it up with occasional bouts of greatness for no reason. This is me going from a decent shooter game to a literal cycle of spawn/get sniped/spawn/get sniped/spawn/get vehicle killed/spawn/get sniped over and over and over. And I play support 99% of the time, with medic thrown in occasionally if RR is leveling support. The support class. You know, the one with the guns that get better aim the longer you fire? In a game mode where bullets do more damage? And everyone else has guns that act normal, so are accurate right from the first bullet? I've played HC in all the previous battlefields, because it was actually a more skilled version of the base game. HC in BF1 currently is not that. Did the drop to 125% dmg help? Sure, at least now the snipers have to aim a bit again. But with the plethora of wide open maps, running to/capping flags is just a suicide mission with the amount of snipers littering the field. So while they seem to be moving in the right direction for HC to be the funner, more skilled version of the game I won't hold my breath. This is DICE we are talking about. 95% of the company is already working on the next iteration of battlefield or battlefront. It's probably just going to be something only worthy of being called DLC for BF1... (Hey there Hardline!), but it'll be sold as a new separate game. Damn but I sound jaded. Ah well. I guess to sum up my point, I'm hoping HC mode becomes better and better but have no real belief it'll get to where we want. It is completely tied into their RSP admin options. Give us the ability to tweak everything. Stop being stingy fks with your code. Gas dmg? Grenade Dmg? Explosive Dmg? Vehicle HP? Vehicle Spawn rate? (50-100-200% is not options, thats like an on/off switch. Let us put the fking numbers in there!) Class limits, weapon limits, etc etc etc etc.

Hahaha sorry had to. honestly last night I played a full round of maps and while there were snipers for sure I may have gotten killed maybe 40 or 5 times a map from a sniper. Granted this wasn't a standard night but it was nice to see it going down. A lot of the screams were hearing about the damage drop are from people who want to have the kill if they happen to land the first shot and now they have to think of control and aim and it wounds their little soul. Aww shucks. I will agree its not where it needs to be but I still enjoy it but as you said there aren't going to be true hardcore servers till we have working RSP servers that allow very granular control. I've toned down my piss and vinegar on the forums, Twitter, and Reddit and have offered my help. Hopefully we will see some of the more sane ones of us on these platforms chosen to assist and we will finally see some positive change and movement. Im pushing Ali and Tiggr to set up a punch list that's maintained online that, while not giving dates, will show what's being worked on, what phase its in, and any known issues. Standard development stuff. We will see.
December 31, 20168 yr Oh you guys LOL- I've been playing on console and it's the same game;) Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
January 12, 20178 yr The reduced damage sucks in hard core now, and its not that hard to differentiate between enemy and friendly players if you know your colors. The good thing is that the lowered damage now made a lot of people switch from sniping back to other kits like medic and assault. So less snipers now makes a happier player base, but also leaves you at the more skilled, better players will be sniping because they can actually aim for your head (like me). At first i was annoyed by no tags over players names, but, can you actually see tags on people in real life?? You just recognize by uniform, and BF1 was targeted to be more realistic in the hard core mode over BF4s hard core. The lack of a map for aiming the mortar? Good. Give them the actual mortar sights to use and learn, and how to communicate with your team telling you to mortar out a sniper or a heavy line of resistance. I think Hard core is perfect in BF1. The most realistic Hard Core there is, and thats how it should be.
January 12, 20178 yr If I want realism, I will play Arma 3. If want to play a fun game with all the bells and whistles, I will continue to play "Normal" mode. Hardcore mode in BF1 is no good to me, but I do respect those who might like to play it. It's just not for me. I want to see name tags, and I want to see whom I just killed. I like to see the name of my teammates above their player's head so I can give direction to them if I am a squad leader. I like the Killcam after I die, because it lets me know if the kill was a legitimate kill or not, and most importantly it makes snipers stay on the move. We had UAVs in BF4 Hardcore to point out snipers before, but in BF1, they can camp like a little bitch. That's why Hardcore is so inundated with snipers, which I detest. In fact, all campers must stay on the move, which I like. When I place a landmine down I don't want to be kicked from the game because a 6-person friendly tank rolled over it. And lastly, I played recently and as soon as I spawned in I team killed multiple times. As I said ...Hardcore is not for me...
January 12, 20178 yr I agree with you seeing names of people you killed, i miss the kill feed, i like this more realistic battlefield though. If i want True realism ill play ARMA 3, which i do, and it sure is fun when we have 10-15 people all on playing it. The only thing i suggest is players in the clan broaden their game library. Id love to chat on TeamSpeak and tell people to get Arma, it is very fun when everyone is working together in a Arma Mission with multiple squads Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I need to fire it up and get used to it to be sure so you can count on me at some point.
