March 1, 20179 yr I've been toying with getting a server and setting it in kind of a hybrid mode. In theory it would be about as close to classic HC mode as you can get with BF1 currently. Keep Doritos enabled as it is you see friendlies and only enemies tags when aimed at. Keep kill feed and banner if possible Things from HC: Disable spotting Disable kill cam. I hate this thing always have. If you are playing a scout in any tactical fashion it gives away your position. Unfair advantage to opposing team. Open yer eyes fool. Disable elite classes Don't have the screens of the newest config pages but you get the picture. Opinions?

Open yer eyes fool. I absolutely like this. It's a must have for me. Without it, there is no way to detect snipers other than the occasional scope glare, but by that time it is too late. The kill cam keeps them on the run. If we disable this particular server variable, then we must disable the Rcon class. Then I will be okay with it. Sniper class ruins the game, because players who snipe do not go after objectives and sit their ass on a hill somewhere. Then they complain they are on a shitty team because they lose all the time. Gee, I wonder why. The only way to combat them is to have kill cam "enabled".
March 2, 20179 yr Author Gotta disagree. Like i said if playing in a tactical way. Tactical mean moving and taking shots that assist the team not hill humping the whole round but maybe not being in the immediate area yet still in the general area. BF1 is not geared to long range sniping. It can be done but takes a large amount of skill or multiple tries. Yeah i have a 700 m plus headshot but it took me nearly a full ammo load to hit it. It's not the fault of the class but more the fault of the newbs who hump hills all round The scout class has several tools that assist the team if they are used. I do hope however that they do have a way to limit scouts at some point which will make the config that much more viable. One thing is weird in your statement though. How many years did you play BF4 HC with no killcam?
