Level Cap actually has 2 pretty good guides on PUBG with some good tips and info. In the second he corrects a statement made about body armor made in the first that was in fact incorrect.

Lots of good info in here and he does a pretty good job of explaining stuff. While I still suck after watching them its because I make stupid mistakes. When I do concentrate and put real world tactics into play I do ok. Best yet is 2nd place. Chicken dinner is bound to come soon.

Personal opinion:

The game is just plain fun. No grinding for weapons everyone is on a lvl playing field and the weapons you get are luck of the draw and if you can kill folks and take their stuff. Game is relatively cheap and worth the investment (30 bucks on Steam)

Last note: If you find one equip the Frying Pan. Its cast iron and the giggles of joy when a bullet deflects off it instead of hitting you in the ass is worth having it. I laughed untill I cried the first time it happened.

I hope you all found this informative.

You can host custom games in order to change up the rules but only certain people have access to that right now.
