Posted November 21, 20177 yr Battlefield 1’s newest Turning Tides expansion now has a confirmed release date of Dec. 11 for the first wave of content. As outlined on the site that detailed the reveal, the new Turning Tides DLC is going to be split into two separate content releases. From amphibious battles to the addition of several new weapons, those who have the Premium Pass for Battlefield 1 will be able to access the content first across two new maps on Dec. 11. Following the initial release of the content on Dec. 11, the second rollout will begin sometime in January. An exact date for the rest of Turning Tides’ content hasn’t been provided, but those with the Premium Pass will again get a head start with the new features. “As mentioned, Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners get a two-week head start with Battlefield 1Turning Tides,” the update from the DLC post read. “Once their head start with the North Sea content has ended, Battlefield 1 Turning Tides will be available to purchase as a standalone expansion pack.” Between the December and January content releases, weapons such as the M1917 Trench Carbine, Maschinenpistole M1912/P.16, Farquhar-Hill, M1917 MG, Carcano M91 Carbine, and Type 38 Arisaka will be added alongside the new maps. Unlocks such as new Dog Tags, Service Stars, Codex Entries, Medals, and Ribbons will also be made available alongside service assignments and specializations, but the new Conquest Assault game mode is one of the bigger parts of the expansion. It puts a unique spin on the Conquest mode that players are already familiar with by forcing players to battle for certain important areas around the maps. The release date of the expansion is welcome news for those who already have the Premium Pass, but it isn’t coming as a complete surprise. Last week, the release date for the expansion was accidently listed on part of the game’s website that previewed the content. It listed Dec. 11 as the start date for certain players as well, but it was quickly taken down.
November 23, 20177 yr Kinda lame that they're only releasing 4 maps with this one instead of 6 like the first 2 DLCs. And only 2 are being released at a time so those 2 maps will burn out real quickly.
November 23, 20177 yr Author technically the last DLC was 4 maps and 2 free community maps. I agree though, as slow of a process, there should be more maps. The level cap should get increased to 130 on Dec 11th. I am just not sure I will play it enough to rank up. those maps had better rock my socks off.
November 29, 20177 yr Let the battles begin. After 15 years of playing Battlefield it is difficult for me to venture too far away into another gaming mode. Team work with a great squad can still be exciting and successful even if surrounded by a team of noobs. I will definitely be playing with Premium Pass and thereafter so join me in Teamspeak and let’s squad up.
