December 13, 20178 yr ******WARNING!!! : To be taken with a grain of salt. ********* Ok so this guy correctly predicted most of the details including the name and internal working names for maps etc for BF1 making most people pretty sure he has a reliable inside source. "In March, 2016, he made a video that managed to get almost every single detail correctly. The game title being Battlefield 1, WW1 era, weaponry, and even development names for some of the maps, which line up with what these maps are called to this day in the game directory." He has posted details /"predictions" on the new Battlefield title, ........ Wait For IT....... Battlefield: Bad Company 3 Some details: Campaign with missions Timeline: Vietnam thru the Cold War eras Smaller maps Emphasis on squad play Game Modes: CQ, Rush,Ops,TDM, and Dom. Classes: Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon are back baby Battlepacks supposedly make a return. AND: NO PLAN TO ADD MTX! Hopefully this all pans out and they actually send the server hosting back to the third party guys and publish an API. One can only hope they learned that they are NOT server hosts and should not try to be. We will see. Anywho link to the article and the YT Video below. Thoughts? Article: YouTuber who accurately leaked Battlefield 1 details ahead of time says next game is Battlefield: Bad Company 3 - rumour WWW.VG247.COM The Battlefield community would love nothing more than to see a sequel to one of the best entries in the series, Bad Co… YT Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_J37XWsVog
December 13, 20178 yr We shall see, we shall see. They better get rid of the season pass crap also, because I will not buy it. Nice to see they are going back to Bad Company again. I rather enjoyed the old Bad Company.
December 13, 20178 yr Author Well if I had to choose MTX or Season pass.. BRING ON THE PASS BITCHES. Honestly I was sorely disappointed with the MTX move they pulled with SWBF2. I really wanted to play that game and it would have been pretty fun if it wasn't for the dicked up progression tied to RNG and the almost required purchase of the expensive version of the game as well as MANY Crates. The fact that the crates had boosts that were not either inconsequential / time limited (Exp boost, or a weapon attachment etc) or cosmetic that pretty much was the killing blow for me.
December 13, 20178 yr Well, in the old days (not that long ago, really) they would give us a new map(s) and weapon(s) when they released a patch for the game. Everyone always looked forward to a new patch, but then they got greedy. They took a $49 PC Game and started charging $59 for it. They followed the footsteps of Activision when they started charging $59 for Call of Duty. After that, the EA CEO came up with the idea to add additional content for another hefty upcharge of $50 (Season Pass), which brought the cost of the game to $109. Players complained about the Season Pass, because their friends could not play with them if they didn't have the additional content, so they came up with the idea of microtransactions. As we all know now, they got themselves into a pickle over this. They are now sweating bullets because their investors are pissed with the current sales situation. So where does that leave us?
December 13, 20178 yr THis goes with the info that I posted already. https://www.thearmory.cc/threads/current-ea-dice-info.29181/ The other big rumor is no RSP or 3rd party servers. That is what I am most interested in knowing. If they do the RSP shit that they did in BF1, I am skipping the game. I sent him a message and asked if he had any info on servers. December 13, 20178 yr Oct 12, 2017#2In BF 2018 rumor news: Sources close to Dice and EA state that there is a new Battlefield project underway called “Battlefield Unthinkable”. It is unclear if this will be the final name of the project but for now I will refer to it as “BFU”. BFU is supposedly set in an alternate version of the 1960s where the cuban missile crisis escalates into nuclear war between the united states and the soviet union. From there players find themselves in a world war III set in the 1960s/70s using vietnam style equipment across the globe. Two missions that have been described are set in cuba during the united states invasion and west berlin during a soviet offensive. Campaign moves away from “war stories” and focuses on a group of soldiers rather than an individual during three distinct campaigns. One multiplayer map has been described as havana during the 1960s and it is codenamed “havana_day”. Operations are also rumored to be returning on a bigger scale with branching storylines for each operation. 64vs64 will also become available for PC players- no details on console users. Overall the game has a very “fallout vibe” when it comes to the setting, like america during the 1950s/60s. You will be fighting on the american homefront as well which will be the first battlefield game to feature this since hardline. This is not from any of my sources and sounds like black ops to me but hey we shall see "SOON". That was the post I originally made back on October 12th.
