October 17, 20187 yr Ya know the War Stories campaign was I think my favorite part of BF1. I'm glad they decided to continue in that way. Maybe it's being veteran but it really made me feel what these men went through. I was asked upon returning home from service to join the VFW by a bunch of WWII and Vietnam vets. I was honored but what I did and what they did are on so different a level its not funny. I mean hell I've been to parties that lasted longer than the actual combat in Desert Storm. War has taken on a much more clinical face in modern times and in my opinion it's why our leaders go into armed conflict so much easier now days. War lacks a lot of the horror that past generations experienced. While I saw some truly horrible shit in DS it's nothing compared to the daily horror show these guys endured. If you see an old guy wearing a WWII or a Nam hat make sure you let them know you appreciate them. They damn sure earned it. All that said ... damn this game is pretty if nothing else.
