February 10, 200422 yr When I go into DX diag it says that I have 64mb. chipset(Which is true)But when I go to control panel/ system/it says I have 32mb. of video memory (which I don't)
February 10, 200422 yr Odd. What was your last card? The reason may be because DX Diag is your video card. Did you install and uninstall all nessecary componets?
February 10, 200422 yr Author My old video card was a crappy SiS 32mb. I got a Radeon 7500 64mb. and it runs just as fast as it should run (if not faster).
February 10, 200422 yr Uninstall your old videocard drivers.Add remove programs.Also. The video memeory might be the memory your motherboard has set aside from the system memory. This is set up in your bios.If you know how to find that. Press del or F1 on boot up.Make sure your Mobo is set to boot up on AGP not PCI video.Lower your amount of video memory, if you can find it, to as low as it can go.Have fun.mac
