February 15, 200422 yr The potato mashers were simply to use. They were the only explosives in FA (other than Claymores) that simply OWNED.
February 15, 200422 yr ah yes, the good old days of grabbing steilhands, pineapple grenades and a m79 and just pwning everybody*sniff*I miss the m3 as well
February 15, 200422 yr *sobb* Yes... the explosings were HUGE. Now we have hissing grenades..... HISSING GRENADES... wtf?
February 15, 200422 yr i use to own with stielhand. i would get steil's, frags, concs, a clay and id be good.
February 15, 200422 yr Forget the steil. I miss a time when I wouldn't see an annoying "cannot fire while moving" message. (T_T) I though this was a realism mod; in real life I can fire a weapon while moving. Instead of not allowing it to fire, why don't they make it cause you damage if you're moving while firing, ne? I think that's a good idea. ( )
February 15, 200422 yr Try firing a real m82 while moving and keeping your balance. Its a heavy/large weapon and it has alot of recoil. Or hell even hitting anything
February 15, 200422 yr stg was...well...it was a good friend of minewe went to parks together, had great parties, and generally had great times together. But then the police came and they...they...*sobs* they said he was spam...and took him away! FOREVER! *crys*I swear, he was wood and steel, not meat that comes out of a can, I swear!
February 15, 200422 yr Try firing a real m82 while moving and keeping your balance. Its a heavy/large weapon and it has alot of recoil. Or hell even hitting anything I know. That's what I'm saying. Why not make it so that you take damage or something when you fire it while moving? That would be a more realistic alternative to "cannot fire while moving."
February 16, 200422 yr yes, you arent totaly stationary while trying to fire. any HMG, or the m82 AND YOU FALL ON YOUR ASS AND DIE muahahaha
February 16, 200422 yr I miss push too, it's only realistic when you shoot somebody that they get forced back a little, it would help a lot with idiots blocking spawns.
February 16, 200422 yr Actually, the M82's recoil is not as bad as you think. It is comparible to shooting deer slugs through a pumpaction shotgun. The reason most people think it has massive recoil is simply because the huge round. It's semiautomatic action takes alot of the felt recoil and uses it to operate the action. However, most people still can't shoot it accurately and fast like they do in FA.There are videos of the gun in action, just search and you will see...
February 18, 200422 yr Training video that can be found here http://www.biggerhammer.net/barrett/ states that the "felt recoil" on an M82 is comparable to a 12 gauge firing slugs, as Punisher pointed out. But anyway, I also missed the Stieldhands. They are how I got most of my kills, even more than my Sterling. I wouldn't mind the current grenades if they weren't so hard to get set up and throw.
February 26, 200422 yr Thank God they got rid of those, I hated rushing and twenty steils coming flying out of nowhere.
February 26, 200422 yr Author But they were fun and really out of place.Stielhands were from WWll. Why were they in Firearms in the first place?
February 27, 200422 yr -Potatoe_Cannon]I miss push too, it's only realistic when you shoot somebody that they get forced back a little, it would help a lot with idiots blocking spawns. There used to be a push for FA: i know it was in 2.6; i'm fairly sure it was in 2.65; and i'm almost 100% sure it was taken away in 2.7 - The push back code also developed a few nasty other glitches and bugs in firearms; if i remember correctly, so it was taken out.
February 27, 200422 yr i loved the stielhand in the greatest of all FA maps, omaha. youd storm the beaches and throw your stielhands into the bunkers, killing 3 or 4 guys. it was great. i was the ultimate spam master in 2.7.
February 27, 200422 yr Yeah, same with the sterling. :x If by that you mean "it's from WW2 why was it in Firearms", I think you may be confused with the British Sten which is very very simular. Info I looked up on it here http://www.kitsune.addr.com/Firearms/Subs/Sterling_L2A3.htm states that the Sterling was produced in mid 50's up to the late 80's.
March 5, 200422 yr Yavolt. I miss steilhand. I see nothink, hear nothink, know nothink. lol. Anyone see where i put my steilhand ;-)
