Yeah. When BFFs starts talking shit about your game it's a safe bet its done. I drank the KoolAid and bought it outright and still hold some hope that, like BF4, they can turn it around but thats just the fanboy in me. In reality I know its dead and gone and that they will devote a small amount of resources to it but overall we have what we're gonna get. Hell I believed "SOON™" for the longest.

On the bright side BF 3/4 still work and play great.

I agree. I think they will get it together eventually, but I hope the next version of Battlefield will be less buggy at launch. All the other Indie shooters are pretty shitty, and I have no desire to play any of them (actually I bought a few and played them for a couple of hours before uninstalling).

While it's still in development I have had a lot of fun in DeadSide. It's much more of a tactical shooter but still fun. My main issue with it at the moment is there is no prone which does impede your ability to do "The Sneak™". Updates are frequent but since it's not really "modded" you just have to load the patch.

Of course DayZ is fun, as it's basically ARMA with Zombies, but the controls are insane. Pretty sure they had a design doc that said "Use ALL the buttons!" I would have loved them to cut down on some of the keys and to name the options better so that when you do edit the keybinds you know exactly what that option is. The big upside to DayZ is the modding community which have added a lot of stuff to the game including weapons not in the core game. The big downside is.. the modding community, the downside is that every time there is an update you basically have to repatch the mods. Depending on the server and how modded it is that can take a bit.

The downside to both of these is that whenever big patches come down, it usually requires a server wipe so anything you have collected, gathered, built is gone.

I haven't really found a MMO that strikes my fancy. I was having a pretty good time in New World but after lvl 60 there was really nothing to do except grind resources and craft. I made a pretty good bit of cash but was just not fun.

Dunno gaming has kinda gone stale for me and Im just not a console guy. I did get up with Bohica recently and may try out Rust with him. My only issue with Rust is it can get a bit toxic. We'll see, it could allow me to foster my inner a-hole. Hahahaha
