or you can select the "hardware use" and an apropriate sound source (ie miles 2d positional, creative 5.1 etc etc) and it will take the need for the software to use up CPU time. (this made my game run 15 times better and i have still maintained everything else)

Thats why i have a AMD Athlon xp 1800+768MB DDR SDRAMWindows XP Geforce 4 TI 4600so pretty much same system but DONT EVER GET ATI MAN. Well i guess i am biased cuz i have on my 2nd computer a 9500 PRO and i HATE it its soo i dont know. I feel like the software is made for little kids. And i bet u they have problems too.
