HL² 2005???

Featured Replies

They say that halflife² is postponed to 2005, well at least it isn't on the release list of 2004. the development costs at the moment are about

$ 40 000 000( = 32 800 328 Euro). :evil:

But they also say this:

Characters are an important part of it, and carry the burden of making the story and the player's actions matter. The world also needed to be able to suck you in more, and that was a combination of visual quality as well as things like deeply integrated physics that make the objects in the world react to the player and player actions.

Now i dont know if it is worth waiting fore, wasn't this game originaly fore like 2002??
It was supposed to be out April last year, then maybe October, and THEN before Christmas, and THEN this April. $40 million? Holy $$#%, that's alot of money for a game. But they will easily make $100 million I am presuming.
Hopefully it won't end up like Duke Nukem Forever. Duke Nukem Forever has been saying it is still in production for the last 7 years.
yeah, no one's gonna buy Duke Nukem Foreverbut c'mon guys, stop whining. It's not like you've paid for it yet. Let it take as long as it wants, as long as it's a good game in the end.Plus, this isn't even an offical announcment...
Your right UnwantedHero, who knows when HL2 will be truly ready. Maybe there are a few bugs that "they" are going through to make sure when it does come out there will be no problems :)
As always with these top secret games they push them back years then they come out behind the curve.
well i saw this thing on TV. a PC games show.. and they did a review on HL2..and they said that HL2 is gonna release after Breed coz..they think that if they release it with Breed then HL2 wont have as much buyers
lets just say me and bojo will take over DoL by the time it finishes

the process has already begun. :twisted:

1)Review? you mean preview

and 2)I believe Breed is just another Me-Too budget games isn't it? I heard it wasn't that good anyway...

You're the Man Wellsy.. 8)

guys you gotta remember...they got their source code HACKED and had to redo all of that
actully, only a small part was taken, not all of it.I would say only a 5 minute period of gameplay (=hundreds of lines of code) was actully stolen
