alrighty, i have HL installed on my computer from a long time ago. but for some reason it doesnt have the key installed. since i lost the case i have no idea what the key is. is there a way i could go through Steam and find out my registered CD key?
Nope. You could go through your registry if you need to, assuming that it's still in your registry. PM me if you want to know how, or if you need a cd key to play basic HL (you can't play any valve based mods; the cd keys i'd give you all don't work under VAC and only in WON.)

Nevermind, i was wrong - it won't be in the registry if it's not installed. I don't think we can help you at all, bo :/
