April 17, 200421 yr The M-60 is already belt fed. As are all m-60s. M-60s are disintegrating metallic link-belt fed guns.
April 18, 200421 yr That would be cool I used the M60 when the armory was on WON now I use the M249 but I wouldn't mind going back to my M60 roots  Would be nice if the M60 was more powerful in 2.9 . . . like it is in BF:V
April 18, 200421 yr I remeber when Fox-Trot, Fatman, and myself used to M-60 all da time.Ah the memories...But since u cant move with bipod out the SAW is pretty much the best now.The M-60 has fallen behind
April 18, 200421 yr The M60 is still much more accurate than the M249. I can't stand the PKM, maybe it's the "girly" sound it makes firing. If the M60 still broke legs like it did in 2.65, I'd use it a lot more... It sure was fun to watch all those bunny hopping, famas carrying, big-ego types trying to dance around with busted limbs when the '60 started smoking...Anyway, there's nothing really wrong with the M60 now, other than the bipod bug and the "stuttering"The BF:V M60 is just.... wrong somehow. Maybe it's the way too high rate of fire. Maybe it's the cheesy sound it makes firing. I think they decided to use a M249 with a M60 model. I really don't like it there. FA actually makes the M60 sound sexy.

The PKM does sound a bit "girly" when firing. BTW the M60 is great to use on those bunny hopping, famas carrying, big-ego types like you said LFM. It is possible that maybe your right about the M60 in BF:V might be a M249 but looking like a M60. Go figure
April 18, 200421 yr Currently in FA the M60 is not belt fed, it is box fed. um..box fed and belt fed is the same thing! the belt is just folded up to fit in the box. The end of the belt is then snapped into the m60 and whenever your fire, it pulls the belt in, firing bullets as they come
April 18, 200421 yr to answer ur question, no. (its not going to be over teh shoulder belt fed) how do i know? im a beta tester :Pnow that things are cleared up..
April 18, 200421 yr yeah, but i do know that it wont be belt-fed instead of box fed..also, what would stealth do to it.. so u have a faster reload time.. maybe nomenclature would be appropiate instead of sleath for that.. because with stealth, you would still be as loud ass hell when firing, so i dont think you'd ned to worry about the rattle of the belt..

April 19, 200421 yr I never said "over the shoulder belt fed," i said it needs to be belt fed ok, seriously dude, if you don't mean 'over the shoulder' belt fed, then what do you mean? you're making no sense. Also, you said about reload time increased with box fed...and then you said they only used box fed in special forces. Why would the special forces, who are all about speed, want to box fed a gun...wouldn't that make it a longer reload time, thus slowing down the team? and if he's a beta tester, then he WOULD know basically EVERYTHING that is going to be in 2.9 you would still be as loud ass hell when firing, so i dont think you'd need to worry about the box being silent reloading... exactly if you're lugging around an m60, stealth is the last thing on your mind... BOX FED AND BELT FED ARE NOT THE SAME THING, BECAUSE WHEN A M60 IS BOX FED IT INCREASES RELOAD TIME, BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO ATTCAH A NEW BOX TO THE SIDE OF THE GUN, OR PUT A NEW BELT IN THE BOX, um...right there you said it increases reload time cause you have to put in a new box OR a new belt... that sounds exactly like belt fed. You have to attach a new belt.
April 19, 200421 yr i think he means that it would take longer to attach a box as well as, feed a new beltrather than JUST feeding a new belt but lets face it... if you didnt hit them in the 1st 100 shots...i would like to be able to rambo with the m60 like back in the good ol days but you know what they say, "you can wish in 1 hand..."
April 20, 200421 yr well, there's not THAT much difference in time between loading just a belt and loading just a box w/ belt.
