I have my answer It's ok now. I was angry coz I hate when a post is deleted whithout reason and when certain people say that I'm flamming whereas it wasn't my intention. You agreed to be bound by this and then cried when it was used, but I fail to see where "Freedom of Speech" or any other US "law" would have any problems after you accepted the agreement.

I'm sorry, but if you're going to hold some people to the agreement, you should hold all members to the agreement; including TA members. I can remember a certain post about asking where to illegally download HL2, and then later a post claiming said person downloaded it, and no TA admin (publically) told them not to do it again, or deleted it, or anything else.

 

Also, alot of your ToS cannot be held legally - You're assuming the person whose posting said things in your site has the abiliity to lease those rights to you. You guys are also making it sound like if you donate, you can say whatever the hell you want to say, because you're helping put the forums up.

Either way, the ones that run the forum have the choice to remove posts at their own discretion. Therefore, they also have the choice to keep one up if they want to. Like right now, I can just go ahead and delete your post because I don't find it useful. 8)And of course you are bound to the terms of service because they were not forced on you. You decided to agree to them on your own. If later on you find that you can no longer abide by them, you can leave or we can remove you. Either way, you're not being to forced to stay here.

I'm not attempting to flame TA. I agree with the majority of your decisions. It's the decisions that i don't agree with, that i post the most about. I don't see the purpose of me posting, quoting what people have already stated. It'd just be senseless spam - something i'm not a huge fan of.

So, I think that you guys are right about the issue, that you should do this, but that you should do it more often, i'm some how "anti-[TA]"? I admit, i used to be "anti-TA" along with the majority of the community. I then started actually looking at TA's site and forums, and realized that you guys weren't bad at all. It got to the point where i'd defend TA when others would attack them in all kinds of mediums - And i still do.

 

I don't mind when administrators delete my posts - Did i have a problem when you deleted my post in the that slowly was going to become a Pro/anti-marijuana thread. No. Do you know why? Because it's your forum, and you decide what to do with what posts.

I did not see that post, and I must say that it is not allowed or tollerated either. I have since deleted it....It is not a dictatorship (that is truely a bad choice of words) at all, but rather a home where friends gather. Not only have I deleted (or edited) some TA member posts, but I have also edited and deleted some of my own posts I felt were inappropriate. Believe it or not, we seldom delte posts from here, but rather chose to lock them instead. The way you answered your post above was very classy and mature. You expressed your views, and it was received positively. Its ok for posters to say how they feel, but how the say it is what is important here. Jsut like our server has been for the past 2 years, we try our best to keep it frindly. If we see this being violated, I can honestly say that we will immediately remove the bad element.Lastly, my apolgies for not giving you a PM or talking to you on MSN. I actually think you are a pretty good person DasHuhn, and I encourage your comments and opinions.

Eh, I'd consider these forums to be a dictatorship, simply because at the end of the day, the owners of these forums don't have anyone that will remove people. You guys aren't elected, you guys really don't have any thing holding you back from going "THERE WILL BE NO USEAGE OF THE VOWEL I" on the forums. If you guys really, really wanted to, you guys could excuse all [TA] members from the forum rules, server rules, and make everyone else "live up to" those laws. Because theres nothing stopping you (Like, say a "supreme court" or a "congress") it really is a dictatorship. You guys just choose not to do stuff like that.

Jimmy, i agree with TA, it's their every right to delete any post they wish to. I just disagree that some posts weren't getting deleted that were equally against the ToA. I think that servers should always have the right to delete whatever they want, whenever they want, for whatever reason they want.
