April 21, 200323 yr -Wasted_Mike]i like the original modles, plus i hate 3rd party crap theres a good amount of talent in the modelling buisness, youve just got to be patient because the FA Models site doesnt actually go through there models and see if the animations work and such... so ALWAYS make backups!
April 21, 200323 yr In what way?... It allows identification of the team without giving them away....I have to see the player for that to mean anything. The coloring does not give the team away any more than the defaults. I mean the only map that the camo really works on is golan (only for the green team then anyway)... In dark tunnels or shadows, these models don't give the player away... explain the cheat. To me, the default models are unfair to the Red team because the white/cream will give them away against any dark background (over 70% of the maps). If you want fair models, make both teams wear green camo and have colored arm bands.... I see some of your point, but don't see the difference in reality... look at my Pyschostats score.... obviously, they don't give me any great advantage. (UnwantedHero with his neon skins is lower in the ranks than me)The models that have bars sticking out of them so that you can see the nme thru walls is obviously cheating, but this is a bit on the line, IMO. As long as FA has Green/White translating to Red/Blue, I am going to give myself some kind of visual signal what the translation is.B-CellPS. WSAENOTSOCK, if done correctly, its fairly easy to apply the model skins to the new models... if anyone wants a specific model updated, let me know.

April 22, 200323 yr WELL! Sorry guys but I ran into a major glitch but my map is gonna be postponed for another week and I won't have alot of time I am still moving...However the models for TA Clan and Friends are coming along pretty good Might be done tommorrow with those after skinning them
April 22, 200323 yr -Kamikaze]those models are in fact considered cheating, because of the ease of identifying either team, regardless of the light if you had those in a league match, you'd be kicked out OK, since I don't play league, that's not an issue, however, I would like to pull up the philosophical debate...1) I would argue that anyone with faster framerates than me has an unfair advantage... they can identify me quicker... therefore, when I play league, everyone must change fps_max=30.2) I would argue that ANY model change gives the user an unfair advantage... If you use the models that Sterling pointed out, it is easy to identify them by the helmet. (all players will have a helmet in that model regardless of whether they choose a helmet)So, for me, I do not see a difference between distinguishment by color versus distinguishment by apparel (i.e. the helmet mentioned above.)B-Cell
