(not Walmart specials) Last Christmas I got a Traxxas T-Maxx monster truck http://www.traxxas.com/products/nitro/tmaxx/trx_tmaxx_over.htm It is way more fun than sittin' in front of a computer screen. These things can reach speeds of up to and beyond 100 mph. Mine goes 40mph but its a Monster Truck... Well just curious who else is into my new hobby 8) see ya, PUNISHER
July 4, 200421 yr Author it all depends. R/C cars, especially nitro powered cars, have come a long way. 4WD, reverse, and multi-speed transmissions are now common and can raise costs. I bought mine for $400 even but you can order it off the Internet for about $320-$360. A solid 2WD stadium truck is somewhere between $250-$300 4WD buggies, the most popular R/C cars, range from $300-$1000 depending on what you buy. Electric cars range from $150-$400 but they require more parts and don't offer the run times of a Nitro-powered car. July 7, 200421 yr I used to have a T-Maxx with the big 2.5 motor on it, got hard up for money over the winter had to sell it. I loved it, i had done a few mods to mine so it was a little faster and stronger than others. I would like to get another one but don't know if I'll have time to play with it between playin FA, ridin my motorcycle, and building my race car.
July 7, 200421 yr I've got an RC. Its a lower end one (Electric powered) but oh well..At least it can climb the hilly terrain around here without a problem.oh yes. Mine is a monster truck as well.
July 8, 200421 yr anything r/c is pretty cool to me. my friend i knew had a helicopter. it looked like an apache i think. once i get some income ill probably invest some time into building and playing with em, hopefully helicopters and planes, but cars and boats would do
