The job question

Featured Replies

For over a month now, I have been woking as a senior leader for Heeia Summer Fun. I have to take care of 20 or so 5-6 year old rascals every day, but it is a fun, yet challenging experience. I have staggering responsiblities upon my shoulders for this job, but all the strees is worth it. It did make me rethink how many kids I want to have when I get older! :D P.S. The worst experience so far: One of my boys in my class had candy, so I asked him for some. He said, "you don't like this!" and I said I really like that candy. He replied by saying "I know what you really like," and slapping me in the butt! Mind you, this is a 6 year-old!  Becca

forensic scientist (hopefully PhD level or professorship) studying at uni from september hopefully...... Maybe specialising in toxicology or ballistics!!!

Hmmm, I dont know if I can add anything but, The first thing to do is plan (if you havent, do it now) to go to college. Doesnt matter where, even to a local community college, you will be better off with something from there, then just your HS or below diploma. Being around people who have opt. not to go to college or the armed service, is very bad, and it WILL haunt you for the rest of you life. Me being a normal young adult (I am eighteen...dam you EMOTICONs makeing me spell out the word =X), I currently work in a super market, Stop And Shop, as a Cashier, its not the most pleasnt job in the world, but it feeds me =X. I am going to college for Computer Science and possible a minor in Accounting. I was confused about what I wanted to major in, so I asked my self....What do I LIKE? If I pick (Pick Major/Job), will I be HAPPY with it? If I do pick (insert major/job), will I work hard to make myself feel like I made a difference? Which is better money, or the job? Even though, I am a cashier, I do enjoy working because I know when I helped people (or bag their food =X), it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside  . Listen to yourself first, then ask other people for input, before you TOTALLY decide on what to do in your life.

I am going to university, the best in the country :D (and one of the oldest in Europe, founded in 1429) And yes making a difference is very important. At the moment history is what i am thinking about. But not totaly decided yet. Anybody knows what you can do with history btw?
well my advice is do something you love, and i am sure everyone has told you and yes it does not always pay what you want. take for instance though i do tech support for a medical firm and i hate the job with a passion, but i keep coming back for money. thus money is not everything because before that i had a 6 buck go no where job where i had fun for while till i quit cause i told someone to go get fuct for being a b*tch :) but i am better now though i do have anger problems................but all in all do something you think you would progress in or even travel the world :)
With a diploma in history you can become teacher or scientist (like an archeologist or something like that) or work in a museum.
