If DC is no longer being provded at <TAC> - why not play with us? Our server is up and running and we're still quite active - waiting for BF2 to be released This is of course not an attempt to "steal" any members - but simply to offer an alternative if <TAC> is no longer an option. It would be a shame to see all that DC talent go to waste...

I don't see why anyone would leave <TAC> for one game. We have plenty of guys that play FA or DC for us and play something else - like CS or DoD elsewhere. That's why I am offering those that want to play DC - to play with us - for just DC of course - IF <TAC> no longer offers it as a game.

multigame clans that play JO and Vietnam which I don't play all that often even when I get a new video card. I'm waiting for Battlefield 2.

I agree with SirCampAlot there. I left <TAC> to play DC with DW. It doesn't mean I can't still be in <TAC> for Nam' or JO.

 

 

And I'm done with FA for good. It was a good run while it lasted. But I had the most fun with it back 2.4 - 2.6

OK. I'm going to try not to rant but......when we included BF:V the DC server wasn't used much, if at all. Then we made it so BF:V and DC rotated days. Again, DC wasn't used much so we decided to go completely to a BF:V server. Then people started complaining that there wasn't a DC server and people really wanted it etc etc etc. So, I decided that I would start up a server. I put AA on there which was a flop (understanably because it wasn't an honor server), then I put DC on there. What happened? No one showed up because it was empty and all the clan members were playing on the LAG server or wherever else. You can't have it all the ways you want it then not use it. People wanted a BF:V server with 3rd party maps. There's one up and is it getting used? No. The maximum amount of players there has been at one time is 4. The server will be taken down at the end of August due to me "breaking" one of the agreements with the company (haven't found out which one yet though), but the point is is when the clan wants something we tend to give it to you (even if it's out of individuals pockets), but some of the things we provide for a demand (the DC server for instance) doesn't get used. If you or a group of people want something, make sure you will actually use it so it's not a waste or resources (time and money mainly). Sorry for ranting a little, but it's monday and I've got nothing better to do at work

Isn't that kinda harsh? I always thought the purpose of a clan is more GAME oriented - to play a GAME (or a couple of games) with others that share your interests in that GAME.

 

You ever have a friend you can go drinking with? And another friend you go to the movies with? They're both things you enjoy and they don't always have to be with the same person.

just out of curiosity, does that apply to non-FPS games? (i join a wc3 clan every once and a while :-P)

We segregate our forum access by teams. The internal forums for the DC team is seperated from the internal forums for the FA team. The same applies to BFV and any other game that we may play in the future - so security wise we don't have those concerns. We do have an overriding internal forum that all DW members have access to - but we don't discuss strategy etc in there. But that's fine - I respect your policy even if I don't understand or necessarily agree with it. I don't like putting DW members in a position where they have to chose between us and the highway if they chose to play something else elsewhere - so I would hate if TAC members were placed in that position. I'll retract my offer for TAC DC members to play with us - if it could jeapordize their membership in the TAC clan for games they do play here.Again - it wasn't my intent to steal members. I was simply trying to offer an environment where DC enthusiasts can live out their interest in the game. You guys have some real talent in DC that I would hate to see go to waste. I would have never made that offer if <TAC> was active in DC themselves.

Fair enough, but there were alot of others that wanted the DC server and the server never had more than 7 people in while it was up and most of the time it was empty.

Not at all, there are no game restrictions, we just don't allow members to be in other clans. Personally, I think it's a conflict of interest being in multiple clans and that this rule helps keep our community active.

Say a player was in DW for Firearms, but in TAC for Joint Operations. There is a FAL league match DW vs. TAC. The player should have access to the TAC Clan forums for information about team strategies, etc. I think not!

 

Also, in your edit you claim Gator wouldn't go for this policy... he can post on this if he wants, but I'm fairly certain he came up with it.

Well Camp, You're right about something; GH Was one of the best damn DC players, I've ever seen.

DC=Too much walking around trying to find the enemy, Sniper rifles are aggravating in that game, Land vehicles are close to useless against aircraft.... It just went on and on. I was also tired of playing on other people's servers because of the quality of player over there. I figured that the average age of some of those players was about 10, considering the amount of racial slurs and swearing coming out of them. All in all I came back to the nice, safe and secure TAC FA server where everybody is friendly.BTW, to any of those "kids" who may be reading this, you don't sound cool by talking like that. You sound like a moron. People who act mature and collected tend to get a lot more respect from me.Sorry bout ranting, but I just came off a DC server which I didn't stay long in./rant

I like DC and all, its just, there are better games out there. Games I find fun. I might have joined you guys once in awhile if I had time. But I usually don't. However, with you guys ALWAYS complaining and such, about "how you don't have a server to play on" "why doesn't anyone play" stuff, I really lean towards other games. If you want a server so much, buy your own and play on it. Not enough people were frequenting the TAC DC server.

 

DC was kind of monotonous, anyways. Fight over the plane or helicoptor. Vietnam is much better, gameplay wise.

They need to keep us focused, see, because when we build up enough people to take over the world, they don't want us thinking, just doing
