Ive been getting a whole poopy load of popups on my computer lately. They just never stop popping....up.Ive run Spybot Search and Destroy many times, that didnt work.I ran Spyware Blaster, that didnt work.I did a virus scan, that didnt work.I used ad-adware about three times, no workage.I usually get these popups the most while playing a game (FA) and it minimizes the game every 2 minutes or so because i keep getting a new popup. If anyone knows anything that could help me (without reformatting) it would be much appreciated.

hijack this is kinda hard to understand.i open it, it tells me it will create a log file, it scans, it finds a bunch of stuff. but before i can check any of it, it overrites some document and opens my hijack this log.?
maybe a hardware or software firewall of reputable company from same site, will block it. other sftware yuo mention like spybot and spyblaster need to be set in options properly to run always to block properly. check settings carefully ;-)ps : routers can be very hard to figure out how to configure trough net. persevere, otherwise forget it , take break, try again later after asking for help
you should dl and run lavasoft's adaware 6, however, if you are unlucky enough to have been infected with the mysearch toolbar spyware, getting it out will be a bitch, even for trained comp techniciens, since it hides its registry path using random generation of paths
There is one called ad-blaster or something blaster. It sucks to get off! Hijack this was the only thing that could get it off that I have found. Just read about the program then give it a spin. One tip...dont check anything yourself...just fix the ones it automatically checks.
ya, make sure you have the absolute latest version of hijack this, cause the mysearch is pretty adaptive
GET FIREFOX!If you are on your own computer, delete IE!!!If you don't want to do that;Whenever you get a popup, DO NOT close by using the XUse Taskbar, end the process. There are HTML codes out there that, just by moving over the button, can start a process. EG: download an auto-installer. Get Ad-Aware, but the mySEARCH, I have no clue, DIDN'T GET IT! Got the C2 Media one, thats a royal pain in the ass to get rid of as well.If you right click at the top of your browser (under the address bar) you should get a list of toolbars running. Get rid of the one you don't want, it provides temporary relief.Anyways, I'm tired. 3h of sleep aint that great.
try the lists of stuff on my site under 'Anti-virus and Computer Security' are you sure this isnt the messenger in windows?
GET FIREFOX!

Or buy Opera. Better tab browsing and integrated mail client. Also uses less RAM.

Boja is on vacation right now but ill answer questions or try to.

He uses opera, the pop-ups are from IE.

he doesnt want to delete IE because he uses that for porn.

lol, hes not gonna be too pleazed about that one jimmy, but in regards to his prob, if spybot or those other problems dont fix it, hes prolly gonna have to bring in it to a comp repair store

stop looking at so many pr0n sites. hehehehe-G
my amd pc got quirky after installing msn toolbar. as well as 61 series nvidia drivers. reformatted and reinstalled basics only. then intel pc got quirky so uninstalled msn toolbar from that. use spybot-tools-system startup to get advice on startup items. new version out now. spyblaster used too. also you can try registry cleaners like norton registry doctor, fix-it registry fixer, etc.
