September 8, 200421 yr Klink....why bring up old memories dude??? I can actually remember (my children don't believe I have a brain much less remember!!! Scary thing is...they may very well be right! 8) ) First day for me? Gotta go all the way back to 1973! Ouch! Those days really rocked! Aerosmith was just getting their start! Yes was THE band for progressive rock. Jethro Tull, The Who, Led Zepplin, Genesis (one of my all time favs), Pink Floyd....oh yes.... music WAS life back then. TV? Mash, All in the Family, Gilligan's Island, Batman.... and oh yes....President Nixon was about to get the boot! You gotta love that! *Barbara Striesand starts singing "Memories" in the background* Well, enough of that! :| Whew! I was having some serious flashbacks there!!! *shakes head, gets off the floor* The best thing about highschool? The end of Viet Nam war in 1975! Guess we didn't learn that much... had to create another one ...oh well... Peace- Now that would shock and awe me! PS- no more school yet (not dismissing school of life). 22 years of schooling  (k-12, college, graduate, etc) is enough for any sane person to go through. Don't ever underestimate your learning folks....one of the few things no one can take away from you! Enjoy and have a good year! Sorry Chap old boy, lol. Kiss ( the band, for you youngans) was the big thing for us and The Eagles and Aerosmith. Rap wasn't invented yet and no crappy skateboarder music haha. The school of life indeed is the best teacher at least for social skills and the like. Damn, you are older than I am. lol.

September 9, 200421 yr Oh my...KISS  .... saw them at Kemper Arena after the Destroyer album was released. One word for them: AWESOME! Sure, pretty simple basic straight forward rock....but the show...omg...what a stravaganza. They had what looked like a dark ages castle prop from one side of the stage to the other. The lights, the flames (30-40 feet in the air variety), flash pods, canons that shot confetti (literally tons of it), balloons, drums on a rising platform (when that was a new thing) etc, etc. It was a non-stop in your face jump'n party from the first tune to the last! Rates at the top as the most entertaining show I've ever seen. Again, another memory bone loosed upon the thread! Sorry.... and yes older Klink :| .... but still a stud! 8) IMHO.
