ok i've been working very hard on geting all the bugs out of my map fa_flak and i think i have.

 

I have allso lowerd the r_speeds a little in my map, I have redone the lighting (much brighter) I am allmost positive i have got the sounds working, I have finished the blue spawn and made a temporary spawn for the red team.

 

In later version the red team will spawn in the sky with a parachute so you better get ready to press your use key so you dont fall to your death :|

 

I am just finishing things up now and i am going to see if i have got my compiling thingy working yet so wish me luck!

 

p.s critisim is welcome but dont just say you hate it and flame it incoherantly because if you do that i will never know what you dont like about the map so I cant fix it!!!! so plz tell me what you dislike so i can fix it!

yeah I really didnt like your first one no offense, the lighting was bad and you couldnt really see very far. I hope you got those fixed. oher than that it would have been cool.

i have said it many many times i have fixed the lighting and i will try to get some screens soon

Do you use any other types of lights ? Or is the entire map completely outside ?Try changing the Pitch of the light enviroment, it should give it a nicer look

well i dont know all about the pitch and stuff so i'll leave that alone till i get better

Pitch is the angle (tilt) of the source light. It's in the entity properties.

ohhh cool i might be able to get me some 1337 shadowsany way there was many many problems with the terrain in the last version of my map so i redid it to lower R-speeds and make it look better and play better now the red team Will parachure into the map

wow the new terrain is great the r_speeds will be much mch lower plus this looks considerably better and it wont be so cheap so now the red can actualy pwn the blue on occasion!

well i had saved the map and everything but then when i went to load it up again later it crashed valve hammer i tried over and over again but it still crashes

that sucks

i know i was smaching my computer and screaming for about an hourbut it didnt set me back much and the map should be done relativly soon

god damn this map is realy starting to anoy me, I have had to restart 5 times make intirely new terrain 4 times and now there is not one piece of the map that was in the origanalbut at last i have made better terrain with lower R_speeds and mad it look much much better and allso play better so soon i will test zee map and tellz ya how it isthe map is ps_flak but in the first version there won't be much stuff except for zee terrain and spawns,there will be trees and rivers in about a week or so but i just realy want to be able to play it so im gonna skip a bit for a while(oh and there will not be flags in the first version because i just don't want flags sitting out in the middle of a field so i'll have to make buildings and such later but don't worry)

I know i laugh at my friends all the time when that kinda stuff happens to them....lol
