oi!

 

i dont like the standart sprites (i think thats the word for xhairs and hud and stuff...but im not sure) of FA. they are grey and of course are not too visible. someone from here (may have been macgyver) gave me his .txt files...so i used em since 2.8.

 

but in 2.9 of course there are weapons still using the standart-x-hairs.

 

plus i have the problem that on most (or all) guns the firemod icon (full/burst/semi) doesnt show up. problably im just too dumb to use the files right, but still my problem is there.

 

so, can anyone tell me where i can find some good (practical, colorfull, visible) xhairs that dont kill other hud-icons (like firemode)? id be even more delighted if someone just send me a good pack.

 

i accutally wanted to desing them myself, but starting off with a few tutorials i didnt understand much and ended up of course with no xhair...so i again use the standart ones now...(backup is the magic word

Edit: of course i mean sprites for all weapons, the scope sprites in the download section dont get me far because i dont use snipers/scopes much

go to www.forums.firearmsmod.com and look under that sprites section. there are many useful things you will find there and they have tutorials also. that is the best place to look imo.

well id like to save a little time and just finde a good set to download, since im not talented at all with that kind of stuff it'd take me days to get thru the tutorial and weeks to desing my own...you think posting in fa-forums would do any good?

All I done was edit the .spr files. All of my weapons that have unscoped x-hairs have a red dot (find it easiest to see 99% of the time and its in the center of the screen) and the weapons that are scoped have a huge greyish circle with a brilliant green cross going through it. I just edited the crosshairs.spr to red dots and each of the whatever_scp.spr to the same (do 1 and copy, paste it with the correct name to save time).

hey para,i use your crosshairs i like them but they don't have crosshairs for the shot guns.and even though i don't use the shotty much i'd still like to have some thing for them.any idea's :?:

yeah, edit the weapon .txt files. That's what I would do.

They are pretty cool, I don't think they work for the MG's, but I could be wrong, since Para just gave me his sprites folder.

 

(Who actually uses the MGs anyways?? :roll: )

hmmwhen I rename them crosshairs.spr, and put them into my sprites folder, it overwrites but doesn't work ingame!

you need the txt's, functional i believe.
