you go to each of your computers, log into steam, download the hl2 files and whatnot since you paid for them, then put the same CD key in for each one, as i assume you did for HL1 also for your friend he just logs in to your account, downlaods it and puts in a diffrent key if he so desires

i almost lost my ATI/HL2 Voucher D:!i thought i didn't need it so i just kinda threw it in a corner, luckily i found it, otherwise i wouldn't be able to install HL2 on other computers

I played the official cs: source and it is uber-seksyalthough i personally hate cs and everything it stands for, its still kinda cool to shoot barrels and join FF servers and use porno sprays

yeah, i pulled through the "video stress test" that the game offers (CSS), i think i can say i OWNED all the way thru ti because my lowest FPS was 97.9 and my highest was 124.2, on highest settings.....OWNAGE

for everyone who is concerned with having physical copy: BURN .GCF FILES TO DVD

copy to steamapps folder, and login with your name and you are good to go

 

to vesper: dod is a great game and i prefer it instead of CoD. it will be 10x better on source, just like CS!

are you frickin crazy!!?!?!? like i said. it took me DAYS to DL HL2. what about people with 56k? some people do not have the option of dl it everytime they want it on another comp.

I'm buying CE retailI could give a rat's ass about CS: SourceI want HL2, HL: Source, and DoD: Source

cs: source is nice just cause you get to test out the source engine for now, but hl1 source and DoD source are gonna be way better

 

i saw a screenie of hl1 source somewhere and it didn't look to impressive actually, they used the source engine but didn't redo the textures so the poly count was very low

that screenshots crap reallyI've been playing loads of CS: Source and it rocksit's convinced me to go out and buy that 9800 pro I've been looking at.DoD: Source/Hl2 will rock, but CS: S can tide me over till thenand you don't need to back up any of the files. If you format your comp, all your games and everything are saved to your account. You may have to re-download, but say you bought CS: S, you wouldn't have to buy again, just click and it dls again

my average fps for video stress test went from 40-60 after folowwing the tweaking guide on ign http://gear.ign.com/articles/554/554744p1.html

 

the only part of that guide that i found to suck was when it told me to use the ATI Advanced Settings to change my D3D and OpenGL settings because the settings it gives you is for the 9800 pro, not the 9600xt

i gave boja my steam account and he downloaded cs: source and it worked on his comp, and its nice cause while he is playing one game I can play another game and it works online for both of us, but we just cant play the same game at the same time

true, because it's dled to that one accounton the stress test, with my new 9800, I got an average of 70-80 fpsvery nice
