wow, my college is the mecha of LAN gaming. Our hall alone has been LANing CS, Dawn of War, Red Orchestra, Scorch3d, and soon prolly some others. Viva la College!

That's cool, in Thunder Bay we've got this new place called WirePlay. It's for people to get together and frag as a group. Good idea, a lot more fun than playing alone. The only problem is you have to pay and at home is FREE. Well, except for the internet fees.

me and my friends are having a big lan at my place this weekend coming up (it's a long 4 day weekend for us)

Speaking of LANs. Me and a colleague are thinking of hosting a LAN at one of the schools we've been working at. 2 classrooms with 20 computers in each and playing FA, DC, BF:V, Doom and Quake. Anyone know if we need seperate cd keys for each game or if, because its a LAN, that gets overlooked?

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, an engineering school in Indiana. ROTC is paying about half of the tuition, plus gift aid, but Im still getting reamed.

Yes a lan does mean you have to worry.UT2003, UT2004, NFSHP2, And a few others have stopped me from having succersfull lan parties with these games b/c of CD key issues.

really? all me and a bunch of friends pitched in for one copy of UT 2004 and all just used the same cd key and we all used cracks. works great.-G

LANs are fun. Rose-Hulman is a good, respectable school. If you stick to your studies, it'll be worth it.P.S. G, your sig is kinda big...

How many?. I had 8 playing 2004, 2003 and got CD key problems.

there is 6 of us and we all use the same cd key with cracks. no problems. with more people wanting the disk and key.. that # will probly go up. and btw. its not just for a LAN. we play online too-G
