The M4 has a problem with the model. The ejection ports are on the wrong side and the forward assist also. The selector is also on the wrong side.

 

It looks good they just need switch those to the other side.

LOL. its very true. i have shot one of these.... and then i tried it left handed...... i tell you what..... this is a right handed gun... cause you naturally have the hand opp. your firing hand to be jacked out..... and the bullets going outta that ejection port are HOT!!!!!!!!!!! it left BURN marks in my arm from shotting left handed. (all worth it 8))-G

I was issued the M4A1 when I was in the Marines. I too am I lefty with rifles but a righty with handguns. I got a few burnmarks from the cases ejecting out of the side of the gun...hehe

It's brobably because they don't have the rights to use said weapon. Why do they call everything else "Bullpups" and "Defender"? They don't have the rights to use the correct gun. They have to modify everything a tad so they can't get burned.

It's also because they are making money off of the weapon, if they used the true name it would be in violation and they'd have to pay royalty charges.

Sock that is why they changed the names in the old version. They used to call it the Colt M4, which would apply to what you are talking about. Now they just refer to it as M4 which is a military model not a consumer brand name. The reason I say this is because there are a lot of manufactures of that weapon now. I have had several brand names before, Colt, Bushmaster, Rock River, ect...From what I understand most all those companies make guns for the military. The Bushmaster is my fav right now because they have stricter tolerances on the weapon. From what I have seen in the Steam forums they just mirrored it to save the time of making another model which was kind of what I thought. I would however like to see them fix the dust gaurd to either come down after being fired or leave it open all the time.

are you still the Marines Jerkov?On topic: they posted about the M4 being incorrectly modeled YEARS ago, back in late beta stages of CS, but I guess they never went back to fix the problem and let it propogate into later releases. This adds strength to my theory that if ppl actually followed some sort of detailed software engineering model when they do their programs, they would get more done with fewer bugs. Oh well, it really is just a minor bug, Ill shutup now
